In the midst of the whole Beyoncé lip synching controversy from President Obama’s Inauguration, one clever person thought to mashup her performance with Whitney Houston’s classic version!

Whitney’s version, of course, was taken from her Super Bowl XXV performance, where she, too, also lip synched!

Perfection! PURE perfection!

Beyoncé's voice is obviously AWEsome and we've no doubt she can sing live…

But to fake an emotional performance of our National Anthem for the President's inauguration would kinda be a slap in the face to those watching!

It's a step above sticking on a CD and grinning for the cameras!

HOWEVER, whether or not Lady Bey lip-snyched or sang live, the artist DID at least rehearse with the US Marine Band, as girl posted pictures from the practice sesh (above)!

Beyoncé even made sure to include a snap of Star Spangled Banner's sheet music.

We believe you lady! We believe you totally sang the tune live at some point in time! But whether that time included Monday morning… gosh, we just don't know what to believe!

Did she or didn't she??

It was reportedly confirmed that Beyonce did indeed lip synch the national anthem at Obama's inauguration on Monday.

But now it seems like someone's in MAJOR trouble as the Marine Corps have backed off their previous statement which notified the nation of Bey's supposed pre-recorded voice track.

Spokesman Capt. Gregory Wolf says:

How often do you see everyone — from major celebrities to the most unknown of singers — totally screwing up the Star Spangled Banner?? All the tiiiiiiiime!

We feel like this is because everyone just assumes they know it, as they've been singing it for years and have heard it since they were very very little. This is an awful mistake, and one that Alicia Keys WILL NOT make! Ha!

But it seems Jay-Z's wife wasn't being 100% honest up on that podium, as she apprently LIP SYNCHED her entire performance using a previous recording of herself singing the tune!

And yes, it is normal for musicians to pre-record something for SUCH a momentous televised occasion, but isn't it kind of a shame that she acted as if she were singing in real time?!
