Pharrell Appropriates Native American Culture & Fans Are "#NotHappy"! Is His Lackluster Apology Enough To Earn Your Forgiveness??

pharrell elle magazine cover native american headdress cultural appropriation apology

Don't.

That's the free advice we're giving every celebrity contemplating the appropriation of anyone else's culture — whether it be for a photo shoot, a music video, a live performance, or even just a Halloween party you thought would be papparazi-free.

Why would you EVER even do it??? At best you fly under the radar and no one comments on your awkward decision or lame joke. At worst you offend the ENTIRE WORLD!

So, again, just don't.

Unfortunately, neither Pharrell nor the editors of Elle asked our opinion before slapping a Native American headdress on the Get Lucky megastar and putting the offensive picture smack-dab on the cover of their super popular fashion magazine!

Predictably, the world is OUTRAGED by their awful and totally insensitive choice of images.

In fact, backlash got so bad that even the Happy singer's own fans have tweeted disappointed messages at him with the hashtag "#NotHappy."

Here are just a few of the tweets that expressed outrage:

There Comes A Time, Kimosabe, When The Official Lone Ranger Trailer Is RELEASED!

Filed under: Film FlickersDisneyJohnny DeppArmie Hammer

And that time is NOW!

Two months ago we were treated to a small but ACTION-PACKED preview of Disney's latest collaborative effort with Johnny Depp when Armie Hammer premiered footage for The Lone Ranger while making an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, but now, the official theatrical trailer has dropped…and while we could have already told you that this flick is going to be a visual STUNNER, we also now are better clued in this remake's narrative!

Ch-ch-check out Pirates of the Caribbean director Gore Verbinski's take on the wild, wild west (above)!

For those unfamiliar with the original series, the story focuses on The Social Network star as a masked Texas Ranger who fights injustice alongside Captain Jack Sparrow his Native American spirit guide, Tonto!

And from the looks of this update, they may also be fighting speeding, broken down trains, Helena Bonham Carter, and disagreeable horses!

Looks like the perfect mix of action, humor, and SEKSI men, as far as we're concerned!

Consider us first in line when this one drops into theaters! How about U?!

No Doubt Are Picture Perfect In Looking Hot Lyric Vid! WATCH HERE!

Filed under: Gwen StefaniMusic MinutePerezTVNo Doubt

Well, this better be nothing but FLAWLESS after their last controversial Looking Hot music video!

No Doubt has just released a fun new lyric video for their killer track Looking Hot, and it seems to employ the use of various Facebook profile pictures (above)! Cute concept!

We wonder if this wordy vid is to replace the previous visuals, which featured Gwen Stefani pretending to be a Native American and was pulled for being reallllly offensive.

Hopefully it's just a teaser, ’cause we totally want a whole new, non-feather-ruffling music video to match the AWEsomeness of this tune!

Victoria's Secret Apologizes For Native American-Inspired Outfit

The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show was almost a huge success until a blog named Native Appropriations noted that the Native American-inspired ensemble worn by Karlie Kloss was extremely disrespectful.

In an entry, the online publication wrote:

"Besides the daily harm of these ongoing microaggressions for Native folks, the sexualization of Native women continues to be an ignored and continuing epidemic… So Victoria’s Secret, now is the time to apologize. It’s not too late to

Aubrey O'Day Is A Scantily Dressed Native American Hottie!

Aubrey O'Day partied like she was Pocahontas on Sunday at The Roosevelt in Hollywood.

How? We'll tell you!

The former Making the Band star rain danced her way across Hollywood Blvd dressed in a fringe dress, moccasins, beads, a full-on feather headdress and even some war paint.

Not bad Aubs!

We're sure there were plenty of men pitching a teepee in their pants when they saw you! Ha!
