Brian Williams has apologized for his previous on-air lying habits, which have resulted in a demotion to a breaking news role at MSNBC.

The cable network has about 10 percent the audience of his previous job at Nightly News. With this demotion to a role with less viewership, it's been reported that the 56-year-old will also receive a pay cut!

Brian Williams Won't Be On Nightly News Anymore — But It Sounds Like The Anchor Is Set To Move To MSNBC!

In February, Brian Williams was suspended from his position as anchor on NBC's Nightly News after he was caught fabricating stories to viewers.

Lester Holt, who has been temporarily filling in as anchor in the interim, will take over the position permanently.

So, where does that leave his fibbing predecessor? It's been reported that Williams will assume a different role in the NBC family — and that new job could very well be at MSNBC!

This move would make sense for NBCUniversal, who is the parent company of the cable-news network. Williams could be just the ticket to boost the ratings of MSNBC, who has fallen behind competing channels Fox News and CNN.

Both NBC News and Williams' attorney declined to comment on the 56-year-old's new role, but an official announcement is expected to be released as early as Thursday!

We think this is a great move for the news station. Holt has been holding his own in the Nightly News ratings, while keeping Williams in the NBC family as an anchor will prevent any litigious vengeance!

Sophia Bush & Jesse Lee Soffer Have Broken Up After A Little Over A Year Of Dating

Say it 'aint so!

Sophia Bush may have a history of dating her co-stars, but that also means she's pretty used to calling things off with them as well.

That theory rang true on Thursday when news broke that the 32-year-old and her Chicago P.D. partner Jesse Lee Soffer had broken up after a little over a year of dating.

Jesse and Sophia weren't spotted out on the town together too often, but we definitely thought they were adorable enough to stand the test of time!

A source close to the exes says the split was caused by a simple case of the pair drifting apart. So sad!

Their NBC drama was already renewed for a third season airing this Fall, so it will be interesting to see if they'll be able to pull a Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder and act opposite each other despite their failed relationship.

We hope everything was amicable, guys!

Brian Williams Will Probably Lose His Anchor Chair On Nightly News — But Will He Stay At NBC? Details Here!

Brian Williams' future at NBC is still up in the air, but it doesn't look like his return to anchor Nightly News is in the cards!

It's been reported that there's a good chance Williams will lose his job as anchor in the wake of the long running investigation into his infamous on-air fibbing that got him suspended.

But executives at NBC are still looking to keep the 56-year-old at the network, though they have yet to agree on a suitable role for the troublemaker. One source explained:

"Brian's six-month suspension is over in early August, and NBC chiefs are under pressure to come up with a solution. The talks are complicated and are ongoing, and there has not yet been a deal. But it is likely he won't be back in the ‘Nightly' anchor chair. A decision could be made as early as this week, if all sides can reach an agreement."

Hopefully, B-Dubs and the executives can come to an agreement for the seasoned anchor to stay on with the NBC family.

If not, the journalist has promised he wouldn't go down without a fight, and would have to be paid out a huge chunk of his contract — which is worth about $10 million a year for five years!

Do YOU think the network will find a way to keep the fabricating anchor on their team? SOUND OFF in the comments!

In the wake of the announcement, executive producer Daniel Cerone gave hope that the show could see life on another network. Unfortunately, the search for a new home didn't end well.
