CBS totally triumphed in last night’s ratings roulette, pulling in 14.5 million viewers with their NCIS double-bill.
Sadly, indie favorite New Girl fell 7% from last week to a series low (Is Zooey Deschanel’s sugary dorkiness getting sickly sweet???).
The ultimate losers of the ratings race were
Maybe they should change the title to "Only Some Americans' Idol." Something to think about!
American Idol fell in that ratings AGAIN last night and for the first time, lost to scripted show, NCIS.
NCIS raked in 18 million viewers versus Idol, who nabbed 15.6 million. Combine this with a 16.8 million average between NCIS and its baby-sis, NCIS: LA, it looks like Idol took a real shellacking!
But there is a silver lining:
As for the State of the Union Address, it brought in 5.3 million viewers and a 1.9 for Fox.
It's been nearly a year since Mark Harmon was voted America's favorite TV personality…and he's still EXTREMELY popular!
The ratings are in, and the NINTH season premiere of NCIS brought in 20 million viewers! WOW!
Not only that, but
ABC's new cross-dressing comedy didn't attract as many viewers as they wanted…
Work It only modeled for 6.1 million viewers, scoring a sad 2.0 in the 8:30 adult demo.
Critics have even said "it's so bad, you feel sorry for it a little."
Enjoying a much better night was CBS with 20 million tuned into NCIS.
So what do U think? If you're a show offending the transgender community, you might not have the best ratings. Think so? Or do U think that's totally unrelated?
To recap - back in September, NCIS actor David Fisher was arrested for allegedly attacking a neighbor over a disagreement involving swimming pool towels!
Authorities were saying that Fisher allegedly hit and choked the victim…and he was sent to jail on felony battery charges.
Then, Fisher spoke up about the incident, and claimed he was acting out of self defense because the neighbor pushed/provoked him first AFTER insulting his death mother! Ouch!
Now, charges against Fisher have been dropped after the actor pleaded "no contest" to a minor disturbing the peace charge, for which he was slapped with a $50 fine…which the judge ended up writing off.
Here's what Fisher had to say about the violent incident:
