Disney and Dreamworks feel the need…
The studios' latest collaboration, a movie adaptation of the megahit video game franchise Need For Speed, finally has a release date.
The film will roll into theatres on February 7, 2014- just in time for Valentine's Day!
Scott Waugh (Act of Valor) will steer direct a story driven developed by brothers George and John Gatins (Real Steel).

Sweeeeeeet!
The Need For Speed flick we told you about is progressing faster and more furiously than we imagined, LOLz!!
DreamWorks recently acquired the rights to the script based off of ridiculously successful video game franchise, and studio execs promise this won't be some boring retread!!
Instead, they'll put the pedal to the metal and make a gritty action/adventure in the spirit of iconic '70s flicks like Bullit and Vanishing Point.

Finally!
After 18 games and five Fast and Furious movies that totally stole this popular video game's thunder, Need For Speed is becoming a movie.
Electronic Arts has enlisted the help of John Gatins, the writer-producer behind Rock 'em Sock 'em Robots Real Steel, to develop a movie based on the racing game that has been around since 1994.
