Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin talk sex toys.

Vibrators for everyone!

Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin had some fun at the Today show Friday when they began candidly discussing sex toys, and hosts Savannah Guthrie and Carson Daly were a little shook! LOLz!

Although Savannah had some trouble actually articulating what season three of Netflix's Grace & Frankie was about, Jane had no such qualms. She jumped right in, saying:

"At the end of season 2, someone gives us presents and my present is a vibrator. Grace has never used a vibrator before — she ends up with carpal tunnel syndrome. And our families make fun of us, so we say we're going to go into business … making vibrators for older women."

Sounds like a flawless business plan!

The 79-year-old went on to describe how her and costar Lily's characters approach the whole thing, saying:

"The problem is, Grace is a real business woman. [Frankie] can't add up her checkbook. And she's into vaginal lubrication, which she makes out of yams which I had thought was jam and put on my toast! She keeps raising the wrong subject because I want to push with the vibrators."

LOVES IT!

Ultimately, however, they do settle on the perfect product. Jane described it thusly:

Death Note Is Just A Footnote In The Long History Of Hollywood Whitewashing!

no title

Netflix has been hit this past week with a one-two punch of controversy thanks to claims of white exceptionalism in Marvel's Iron Fist and now pure whitewashing in the first trailer for Death Note.

The manga adaptation changed Light Yagami to Light Turner in the American movie, leading many to once again voice their displeasure with Hollywood's lack of representation for Asians.

Some have argued this is not whitewashing but rather just another remake relocating the setting and thus the nationality of the characters, like Let Me In or Death At A Funeral in recent years — but come on. You couldn't have cast a young Asian American actor in the lead role, considering the source material?

Usually this kind of change is at least done to accommodate a movie star… but we're sorry, Nat Wolff is no Scarlett Johansson!

Maybe this is a good time for the filmmakers to look back on the limited amount of progress that has been made — to give us an idea of how much better we can do!

Netflix's Death Note Trailer Gets Murdered With Whitewashing Backlash From Fans! Watch & See The Reactions!

no title

This movie might just be the kiss of death for Netflix.

The streaming platform dropped the trailer for its new horror film Death Note, and it's already offending people at first glance.

That's because the story is a beloved supernatural manga and anime series centering around a troubled Japanese teen, and the Netflix version features — you guessed it — a predominantly white cast!

In the trailer, we get a look at a bleach blonde Nat Wolff as genius *Seattle* teen Light Turner, who discovers an evil notebook that gives him the power of life and death.

Things quickly get out of hand as the pages turn, with Light launching into a crusade against the criminals of the world, all while avoiding getting caught by genius detective L (LaKeith Stanfield).

Despite the trailer looking creepy af, the supernatural drama is already getting haunted by fans who are pissed the new version completely shits on the original canon.

Opponents took to Twitter to express their frustration over Hollywood's "Americanized" adaptations of Japanese manga never starring a Japanese-American lead. We mean, is it too much to ask for equal representation in the portrayal of mass murderers?

Ch-ch-check out the trailer and see how the Twitics responded (below)!

This Will Change The Way You Watch Netflix FOREVER!

Netflix is changing its user rating system!

Bye bye, stars! Hello, thumbs!

Netflix has just announced it's getting rid of its five-star rating system and replacing it with a simpler thumbs up or thumbs down version.

Related: Audiences Are LOVING Marvel's Iron Fist

Isn't that fascinating??? We know you were dying for an overhaul.

No, but seriously this news was so important a press briefing was organized, with VP of Product Todd Yellin explaining that they had been testing the new system and it resulted in a 200% increase in user feedback. Basically, people are way more into the thumbs than the stars.

Who knew!

There's also a new "percent-match" feature that matches titles to users based on how well they like something. For example, if a show or movie fits very closely to your taste, it would get something like a 98% match. Anything that got less than 50% would not be given consideration.

All of the changes are made in the hopes of making the Netflix user experience easier and more accurate as well.

Still, may we suggest having a sideways thumb for things that are just meh?
