Emma Stone took a break from filming The Amazing Spider-Man 2 on Tuesday to join her breast cancer survivor mom, Krista, at the Peace, Love & A Cure Triple Negative Breast Cancer Foundation Benefit in New Jersey.
Rather than wearing the predictable color of pink, Emma donned a black, white and blue print dress that was gathered at the waist and simple black Louboutins.
The most precious part of the event was when her boyfriend Andrew Garfield popped up and gave her sweet Spidey kiss.
Less is not more in shore town Asbury Park, New Jersey!
A ban on bathing suits was set into place over 40 years ago in Monmouth County, New Jersey, and now ex-councilwoman, Louise Murray wants to uphold the prohibition.
According to the ordinance that was passed in 1958:
"No person clad in bathing attire shall be on the boardwalk or the public sidewalks adjacent thereto."
During the days of the 1980s and 90s, the city's boardwalk fell on hard times, but now it's lined with fancy stores and posh eateries.
After intercepting more than $4 million in fake NFL merch last month, the federal authorities announced on Friday they cracked one of the largest counterfeit goods operations in history.
The 135 containers filled with designer knockoffs and pure crystal methamphetamine entered the US from China through New Jersey's Port Newark and Port Elizabeth with stolen identities and fake identification documents.
U.S. Attorney for the District of New Jersey Paul J. Fishman revealed
Jackie Genovese, a 16-year-old sophomore from New Jersey, was planning on attending prom with her 17-year-old boyfriend of two years, James Volpe.
Jackie purchased a pricey $1,200 prom dress from Freehold's Diane and Co., popular from Oxygen’s show Dress Coutoure.
Unfortunately for all involved, James was killed in a car crash on May 13th heading home from a baseball team dinner. Jackie’s mom went back to the store and requested a refund so she could help pay for the funeral.
Instead, the store’s policies don’t offer refunds, but they did offer her store credit which wasn’t good enough for Jackie’s mom. Furthermore, she claims when she arrived to return the dress, they were “nasty and unsympathetic.”
As for the store, they deny ever being rude and stated:
“This terrible tragic situation has been spun out of control. It's not a matter of being vicious or uncompassionate, but we are faced with tragedy all the time. And we weren't given a chance to rectify the situation."
The store also offered to make a donation to a memorial set up in James' name, though that wasn't good enough for one friend who started a Facebook page asking for everyone to boycott the store.
We understand the circumstances are awful, but really, there’s no way for the store to know if the dress was worn before or not. And while we hope many people wouldn’t do this, but what’s to stop other people from going and fabricating a death story to get a full refund?
Thomas Horodecki, a business manager at Elie Tahari, is suing the company after suffering a mental breakdown because –wait for it– he had to work in New Jersey.
In his arbitration claim, Horodecki says he was constantly passed over for promotions and raises because he wasn't Jewish.
After complaining about it to his supervisor Sagit Halperin he was then forced to make the long drive to Hackensack and Paramus, New Jersey.
Then it was all downhill from there and a breakdown ensued.
Thomas explains:
"It was the smog. It was depressing driving to Jersey. The traffic was horrendous on Route 4, and they are pretty bad drivers. The stores are kind of cheesy for the most part. New York City has everything when it comes to fashion, especially Saks. And when it comes to styling, let's just say Jersey is difficult. Fashion it is not! Mentally, I just started going crazy. I had a breakdown. I was crying to my partner. Depression set in. I couldn't go to work anymore. I'm presently seeing a psychologist and [I'm] on Zoloft. Mentally, I was exhausted from everything. It absolutely contributed to my breakdown as time went along."
In fact his depression got so bad, he's been on disability leave since December.
Horodecki is seeking $2 million from Tahari for his Jersey-induced mental breakdown.
