It seems that Taylor Swift underwent a musical experimentation phase for her latest artistic endeavor, which we've already kinda witnessed in the hip-hop tinged, super poppy, insanely infectious We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together!

After a recent Red listening sesh, Rolling Stone magazine apparently experienced an eclectic mix of non-country sounds on the Nashville-based singer's album, including:

Beyonce Teams Up With London Producer Dave "Switch" Taylor For New Album

beyonce teams up with london producer for new album

Out with the old, in with the new!

Earlier this week, Beyonce parted ways with her manager father, Mathew Knowles, after long time reports of a strained professional relationship.

Now, Beyonce is teaming up with producer Dave Taylor, aka Switch (his DJ name), to re-invent her sound for her upcoming fourth album.

Taylor/Switch is renowned for remixing Lily Allen and Fatboy Slim, as well as making beats for Xtina, M.I.A., and Santogold.

Here's what Beyonce had to say about the new album:

"I'm not in a box. The new record is not R&B, not typically pop, not rock. It's just everything I love mixed together."

We're intrigued. We'll look forward to hearing your new sound, Beyonce! Good luck!

Beyonce's Working With Some Interesting Collaborators!

Britney and GaGa aren't the only ones working on their new albums. Word is Beyonce has a thing or two up her sleeve for her upcoming disc too.

Sources are reporting that Bey is working with some interesting collaborators to bring her next album to life. Indie producer/DJ Diplo revealed on his blog that recently, Beyonce threw down a track with Derek from the electro-pop duo Sleigh Bells.

Now, working with DJ Diplo is a step in a more experimental direction to begin with, but Sleigh Bells? Really? What kind of sound is she even going for, we wonder. It'll be way out of her comfort zone for sure, but maybe that's a good thing.

We're intrigued.

How about U?

A New Sound For U2!

Yes, and we think it is a good idea!

In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Bono announced that the band is working on a "club-sounding" album.

He didn't elaborate past that, explaining that the band is also working on releasing a new rock album, while they gear up for their tour and he and The Edge finish up scoring the the Spider-Man musical.

Still, we'd love to hear a little U2 thrown in with our GaGalicious jams and Brit-Brit mega hits at the club!

Work it boys! Work it!
