It would be so badass!!! And she'd be even more intimidating than usual!

But at least this Photoshopped picture exists courtesy of New York magazine, featuring the reigning doyenne of the fashion world with purple lipstick, a streak of fuchsia in her signature bob, and silver septum ring.

YES!!!

The cover was originally considered as an option for the magazine's Met Gala coverage, but after the Boston bombings, the editors scrapped the idea.

In honor of tonight's Met Ball, however, the cray, Darrow-illustrated cover is getting a little time in the spotlight.

Aren't you so glad this exists?!

And there's still time for La Wintour to consider this look before she walks the Met steps. Ha!

Our lovely, scruffy-haired Penn Badgley is waxing intellectual once again.

While the majority of Gossip Girl fans were fine suspending disbelief for entertainment (it's not like the CW hit ever said they were Mad Men), Penn apparently represents those who thought it was TOO rooted in fantasy to take it seriously.

The super controversial Jerry Sandusky interview aired yesterday on the Today show, and after it received a whole mess of backlash, anchor Matt Lauer thinks that NBC set him up for FAILURE!!

Aww man.

Lauer hosted the 30-minute segment, which featured filmmaker John Ziergler and recordings from the child molester, and while he was interviewing Ziegler, the host looked like he was in an agonizing state.

It's pretty bad when the actual, behind-the-scenes drama is even WORSE than what's being reported in the news!

But unfortunately, in the case of much-reported-upon, devastating drama on The Today Show that left Ann Curry fired, Matt Lauer looking like a real piece of work, and Good Morning America knocking them out of the ratings for the first time in 16 years, it wasn't just bad - it was a downright CLUSTERF-CK.

On top of the news that came to the light this morning which revealed the widely-criticized news anchor fooled ABC into negotiating a deal he never planned to take to secure his position at NBC, as well as a pay-day and assurance that Ann would get let go, the EXPLOSIVE new article in New York Magazine delves even deeper in the complex back-stabbing, paranoia, and shady negotiations that went on at 30 Rockefeller Center…and it ain't pretty!

For instance, even though Lauer, Today Show executive producer Jim Bell, and several NBC affiliates thought Curry was the problem, there was CLEAR internal research that showed that audiences agreed it was MATT who was the less appealing one, as he came off as "aloof, a little bit holier-than-thou and pompous.”

Does the fashion world love Elle Fanning or what?!

The precocious 14-year-old appears in the March issue of Vogue looking strikingly mature.

Photographed by Norman Jean Roy, the shots feature Elle lounging in a puff-sleeved lace Valentino gown and gazing deeply into the camera in a sequined white blouse.

While pretty, this spread is nowhere near as awesome as the candy-coated one the actress did for New York Magazine.

That's the question New York Magazine poses on the cover of their fall fashion issue, which features Kim Kardashian on it.

The reality star was interviewed by Benjamin Wallace while visiting Kanye West in New York City, and delves further into the love/hate relationship fashion has with the reality star.

Wallace points out all of Kardashian's forays into the fashion world, but "when it comes to high fashion she has been met with a cool shoulder".
