We thought Eddie Redmayne sounded like the perfect choice to play a fledgling fantasy fauna wrangler — and now we know he looks the part!
The Oscar winner showed off his magical new look for the upcoming Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them on the cover of Entertainment Weekly, and it's pretty darn fabulous!
Even the more dashing Harry Potter characters never looked this fancy! We're especially digging that Prince-from-Purple Rain hair he's got going on!

But if you look down — nope, even farther — you'll get more of a hint about the film's setting!
At Eddie's feet is the seal of the Magical Congress of the United States of America — in 1926 New York City! J.K. Rowling did tell us the flick would take us places we'd never seen in the Potterverse!

Undoubtedly, those were the words on every Muggle's lips this morning when it was revealed by J.K Rowling herself that a new flick was in works set in the universe of the world's most beloved wizard, Harry Potter.
The author is expanding the universe for the first time with her screenwriting debut, telling the story behind one of Harry's Hogwarts textbooks, Fantastic Beasts & Where To Find Them! Even though the movie acts as neither a prequel or sequel to the famed series, we have a feeling that some of Rowling's most beloved characters will still manage to make an appearance, even with the film set 70 years before Harry's time!
As we started hyperventilating at the news of the new wizarding flick, we can only imagine what die-hard fans are feeling right now.
