Well, this was a big mistake!

The NFL debuted their "Color Rush" jerseys on Thursday night for a game between the Buffalo Bills and New York Jets.

The Bills — who were clad head to toe in red uniforms — and the Jets — who similarly wore green over every inch of their bodies — put together the best worst most bizarre Christmas-like display of football we think we've ever seen, and it didn't go over so well with fans!

Of course the red and green from Thursday's game elicited a Christmas-themed response all over social media, but a backlash formed that the league apparently didn't anticipate: color blind people were HATING this game!

Ch-ch-check out some of the reaction to the reds and greens on the field — which are generally the two most difficult shades to see for colorblind people — on Twitter:

Washington Redskins Finally (Kind Of) Admit Their Name Is Offensive — But They Have A DISGUSTING New Excuse To Keep Their Mascot

no title

This is unbelievable!

The Washington Redskins are trying to preserve the trademark for their highly offensive nickname, and the NFL team is now going to great lengths to defend their position.

On Friday, the team — along with controversial owner Dan Snyder — filed an opening brief in an appeals court in the hopes that they could keep their nickname after a court just ruled the name was highly offensive.

But this opening brief has to be seen to be believed!

It seems the 'Skins are no longer arguing that their name is not offensive, which had been their argument up to this point.

NOW they are conceding it is offensive to some — but they're arguing that since trademarks have been granted to dozens of other highly offensive (and NSFW) names, the Redskins ought to be allowed to keep theirs, too:
