We are young impressed!

Rock band Fun. has been enjoying all types of success ever since their song We Are Young (above) appeared in Chevy's Super Bowl ad!

Now, the song has reached #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, knocking Kelly Clarkson's Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You) down to #2.

This achievement is PARTICULARLY impressive because

At least they're self-aware!

During a recent interview, Nickelback lead singer Chad Kroeger acknowledged to the world that his band is NOT trendy.

Nickelback is probably one of the most infamous bands for a cult-like following of haters.

While they obviously have millions of fans as they're on their seventh album, their critics are really passionate in their dislike of the band.

But they don't give a sh*t!

Michael Bublé's Christmas took the top spot on Billboard 200.

Christmas sold just OVER 227,000 copies while Nickelback's Here and Now sold just UNDER 227,000.

The margin between the album is only 0.18 percent!

The album marks Bublé's third time on top of the 200.

In 2007, Call Me Irresponsible peaked at number one and Crazy Love was numero uno in 2009.

With 227,000 albums sold, it is the highest debut for a Bublé album.

Rihanna also jumped in at number three, selling 197,000.

Over 55,000 people aren't very happy that Nickelback was chosen to perform at halftime during the Detroit Lion's Thanksgiving day game against the Green Bay Packers.

Unfortunately for the thousands of unhappy campers NFL fans, a petition that gained national attention still didn't change the halftime show's headliner.

However, there IS an alternative!

Soul singer and Detroit native Mayer Hawthorne is holding his own halftime performance at the best venue he could think of — his parents house!

While taking a break from food and football, Mayer will be broadcasting a live performance with his dad on bass and local musicians comprising the rest of the band, explaining:

"I'm gonna play a short medley of favorites and some songs especially for Detroit. The band will be all local musicians from Detroit. We'll be watching the game upstairs!"

Nickelback has turned to Funny or Die to respond to those signing a petition to cancel their Thanksgiving NFL halftime show in Detroit.

53,358 (and counting) angry fans isn't enough to deter Nickelback from performing!

Despite Detroit Lion fans starting an online petition to prevent the band from playing during their Thanksgiving game halftime show, there are no plans to change the scheduled entertainment.

In fact, Nickelback sounds pret-ty stoked to perform. Frontman Chad Kroeger said in a statement:

"We are honored to perform at the United Way halftime show on Thanksgiving Day. We always love playing in Detroit, our fans there have been tremendously supportive of us through the years and we can't wait to come back and celebrate an exciting day for the Lions and the city of Detroit."

"Supportive" isn't exactly the word we would use to describe these Detroit fans. The band obviously haven't seen their online petition! LOLz!

We just hope Chad and his boys will be "honored" when over 50,000 boos fill the stadium, followed by 2 quarter's worth of leftover concession food flying toward the stage.
