UPDATE 7:01 PM EST: Lil Wayne is backtracking on those controversial comments.
On Wednesday, Weezy apologized for his ignorant rant about the Black Lives Matter movement, but had a pretty bizarre excuse for the upsetting tirade.
The songsmith blamed the whole thing on the Nightline reporter, telling TMZ the journalist got him riled up over questions about his daughter:
"When the reporter began asking me questions about my daughter being labeled a b*tch and a hoe, I got agitated. From there, there was no thought put into her questions and my responses."
Well, CLEARLY there was no thought put into your responses, Wayne, considering you completely bashed BLM!
But, the artist did tell the outlet he's sorry for the offensive outburst, adding:
"Apologies to anyone who was offended."

Following Wayne's declaration that racism "doesn't exist" back in September, he took to Nightline Tuesday night to further express his controversial views.

According to the rapper, the Black Lives Matter movement is something he's supposedly not aware of and also doesn't understand. Apparently the mogul doesn't believe the recent rash of police brutality against black Americans is connected to racism AT ALL.
When the interviewer asked the 34-year-old his opinion on the movement, he responded:
