Jennifer Lawrence Gives Good BACK At The 2013 Independent Spirit Awards!

jennifer lawrence isa

Is it just us, or is Jennifer Lawrence showing more and more skin with every red carpet appearance this Awards season?!

At this rate, she'll show up to the Oscars wearing fishnets and nothing else!

Okay, well maybe it won't be THAT dramatic, but The Silver Linings Playbook star really kicked the revealing fashion up a notch at yesterday's 2013 Independent Spirit Awards with a cut-out black top that put all of Miley Cyrus' recent side-boob-age to SHAME…and left her beautiful back almost ENTIRELY exposed!

Thank goodness the ceremony was hosted in the warm temperatures of Santa Monica Beach!

Gurl completed her look with a matching black skirt, a Lanvin necklace, Giuseppe Zanotti shoes, and a Bottega Veneta bag…and obviously, it all must have worked in her favor because she took home the award for "Best Female Lead Performance!"

WELL DONE!

Ch-check out more photos of Jen's red carpet look (above) and find out the rest of the 2013 Independent Spirit Award winnersAFTER THE JUMP!!!

Hugh Jackman Gets Presidential On The Late Show With David Letterman!! Watch HERE!

Hugh Jackman makes for one devilishly handsome Abraham Lincoln.

The charming Les Miserables actor made his last campaign for the Oscars by showing up to The Late Show with David Letterman yesterday in an President Lincoln costume.

Ch-ch-check it ouuttt (above)!!!

After sitting down for his interview, the Best Actor nominee combined his musical talents with his acting chops by singing the opening line of the Gettysburg Address.

We're not entirely sure this bit persuaded the Academy that he deserves the Oscar over Daniel Day-Lewis, but he would make for a great leading man in Lincoln The Musical. LOLz!!

Nicki Minaj's Feathers NOT Ruffled By Grammy Snub!

They can BEEZ in her beautiful trap for all she cares!

Nah, we just kid! Nicki Minaj holds no ill will towards the Grammy deciders who chose NOT to include Nicki in this year's list of nominees.

In fact, the multi-talented Freedom singer claims there is a LEGIT reason why her sophomore album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded wasn't up for ANY 2013 Grammys…

But it's a secret, and she's not telling!

Former Best Actor Nominee Joaquin Phoenix Thinks The Oscars Are 'Bullsh*t'

Andddddddd his chances for taking home an Academy Award for his critically acclaimed performance in The Master just plummeted! LOLz!

Joaquin Phoenix doesn't care though, which is kind of admirable. The actor — who made his glorious return to the screen in September after a failed rapping career mockumentary –believes Hollywood's highest honor is "total, utter bullsh*t."

He made his opinion known during a recent interview with highly respected film critic Elvis Mitchell for Interview magazine and explained his position by saying:

"I think it's bulls–t. I think it's total, utter bulls–t, and I don't want to be a part of it. I don't believe in it. It's a carrot, but it's the worst-tasting carrot I've ever tasted in my whole life. I don't want this carrot. It's totally subjective. Pitting people against each other … It's the stupidest thing in the whole world."

Is it really? Or is he just bitter because he was nominated for Walk the Line and lost?

If we take him at his word, then yes, the award really is stupid and he thought so long before he had his chance to take one home. Phoenix revealed he felt "uncomfortable" when he was nominated while continuing:

"It was one of the most uncomfortable periods of my life when Walk the Line was going through all the awards stuff and all that. I never want to have that experience again. I don't know how to explain it — and it's not like I'm in this place where I think I'm just above it — but I just don't ever want to get comfortable with that part of things."

After every Academy voter finds out just how much he despises the Oscars, then maybe he won't. Still, we kinda hope he does because in our minds, talent deserves to be rewarded!
