Attorney General Loretta Lynch Takes North Carolina To School On LGBT Civil Rights, Announces Lawsuit Over 'State-Sponsored Discrimination'!

She's not playing around!

As you may have heard, Gov. Pat McCrory cemented his place on the wrong side of history on Monday when he decided to sue the Department of Justice for trying to make him publicly repeal House Bill 2.

The Republican North Carolina Governor infamously passed the bill back in March, which made it so transgender individuals were forced to use the bathroom to which they were assigned at birth, as opposed to the gender to which they currently identify, and has so far failed to apologize by his 5 p.m. EST deadline.

While most Americans were smart enough to realize this was obviously a discriminatory law almost as soon as it was announced, Pat thought he'd be able to get away with suing the country for "baseless and blatant overreach" of their power…

Luckily, Attorney General Loretta Lynch was not about to give McCrory the upper hand, so she herself filed a lawsuit against North Carolina for going against the nation's laws on Monday!

In a press conference held less than an hour before NC's LGBT deadline, Loretta condemned Pat and the rest of the State for implementing such a bigoted bill, even comparing it to Jim Crow laws and Brown v Board Of Education!

This man needs to get impeached, like now!

Gov. Pat McCrory was already slated to go down in history as one of the biggest opponents to modern civil rights, but he pretty much solidified that fact on Monday.

That's because the North Carolina governor just filed a lawsuit against the federal government hours before his deadline to repeal his bigoted House Bill 2!

Cyndi Lauper Explains Why She's Performing In North Carolina Despite Anti-LGBT Laws — Does She Have A Point??

Trans people just wanna have access to the bathroom. They just wanna.

Cyndi Lauper is without a doubt one of the most influential gay icons of the 1980s, which is why some fans questioned her decision to not cancel her shows in North Carolina despite the state's anti-transgender bathroom laws.

The pink lady already explained that she was going to donate all proceeds from her concerts to local LGBT-friendly charities, and now she's speaking out again!

Cyndi stopped by Late Night with Seth Meyers on Thursday to share her take on the controversy, and she actually made some really good points!

For one thing, she believes it's more supportive to physically be in North Carolina and to rally against resident bigot Gov. Pat McCrory than to voice your concerns from the sidelines.

In fact, the True Colors singer even shared a touching story about how deciding to play shows in Florida when Trayvon Martin was murdered actually helped the community!

We still think musicians cancelling their gigs sends a strong message, but we're glad artists like Cyndi are willing to slum it down South for the betterment of our transgender peers!

Ch-ch-check out Cyndi's politically charged Late Night appearance (above)!!!
