Denise Richards is Queen of Animal Rescue and she has proved it even more!

The actress visited a North Shore Animal League America in Long Island, spreading the word about relief efforts and pups and kitties in need of adoption.

But then she met Tara, a GAWRGEOUS Lab mix puppy, and Denise couldn't leave without her!

Guess little Suri Cruise enjoyed visiting the animal friends at the zoo earlier in the week so much that she may be looking to take one home on a permanent basis!

The daughter of Tom Cruise was spotted once again out and about with mom Katie Holmes yesterday in New York City when the pair stopped by a high-end pet shop to apparently investigate the possibility of taking one of the puppies home with them!

Mya will be running the NYC Marathon in November and run with Team Animal League.

She is running to raise $200,000 for the dogs and cats of the North Shore Animal League America.

They are the largest “no-kill” rescue and adoption organization.

There should be more shelters like that.

Mya is excited to complete the 26.2 mile run, saying:

"The Animal League's mission, saving the lives of precious animals, is one that touches my heart. I am excited to join Team Animal League's runners, each of whom treasures the beautiful and innocent shelter animals… and is equally committed to helping save as many lives as possible."
