Monica Is PISSED That Lil' Kim Was Cut From Her New Single!

Filed under: Music MinuteLegal MattersLil' KimTwitter

monica is pissed that lil kim was cut from her single

We're sure Lil' Kim appreciates the support!

This week, Monica's new single Anything (To Find You) debuted on the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart at #71, but Lil' Kim's name was not on the chart, and her sample was not in the track.

According to a rep from Monica's label J Records, Kim was cut from the Notorious B.I.G.-sampled track due to "contractual issues."

Here's what Monica had to say about it on Twitter:

"I am just finding out what has happened to my single and myself & Missy are beyond hurt that @LilKim was removed. She’s our friend, a legend & @LilKim will get the respect she deserves at all cost. The clearance was revoked & I’m fighting to get it reinstated by the Biggie Estate."

Apparently, it was Biggie's mother Volleta Wallace who didn't clear Kim's sample.

More from Monica:

"We respect all parties involved & were gonna do WHATEVER to keep the song as is because @lilKim the bizness on the record. I am as thorough as they come and I LOVE @LilKim bottom line is Ms Wallace has the final say and she said No. If we put it out we get SUED. "

Sounds like Monica probably won't be able to make this happen, but she's DEF doing wonders for her relationship with Lil' Kim!

Here's what Kim had to say about her:

"Monica is one of the realest bitches I’ve met in this game."

What do U think about all of this? Would U like to see Lil' Kim put back into Monica's new track?

More Info Coming To The Surface! FBI Releases Biggie's Murder Files

fbi releases biggie murder files

Back in January, we learned some new info surrounding the murder of Christopher Wallace (aka Biggie Smalls/Notorious B.I.G.).

Now, even more info has come to the surface, because the FBI has released Biggie's murder files.

Here is some of the info that has come up in Biggie's files:

-FBI agents spent nearly two years looking for Biggie's murderer, and investigating the possibility of police involvement with the crime

-Informants told the FBI that corrupt police officers may have aided Biggie's murderer

-FBI agents conducted surveillance on a San Diego man who was a suspect, they went through his mail and garbage

-One FBI agent frequently consulted with a civil attorney who was taking on a wrongful death suit by Biggie's estate, which was aimed at the city of Los Angeles

Given what we heard back in January, none of this comes as a complete shocker to us…but def inneresting to learn new info about this case.

What do U think about this new info? Surprised by anything here?

Investigators Find New Info On Biggie's Death!

notorious-big-death-investi.jpg

Athough it has been 13 years since his death, an new investigation has been launched in the murder of Christopher Wallace (aka Biggie Smalls/Notorious B.I.G.).

The unsolved case was "reinvigorated" months ago due to information about that night. In 1997, Biggie was shot and killed while riding in a Suburban after leaving a music industry party at the Petersen Automotive Museum in El Lay.

A lone gunman, who was described as an African-American man wearing a suit and bow tie, in a Chevy Impala opened fire on Biggie, who was in the passenger seat.

The main theory is the war between West Coast and East Coast hip hop artists - Bad Boy Entertainment in New York, which represented Biggie, and Death Row Records, headed by Marion "Suge" Knight, who represented Tupac.

Retired LAPD detective Russell Poole, who worked on the case, believed that Knight was behind the murder.

"Suge Knight ordered the hit," Poole said, adding that he retired early from the LAPD, in part, because he was sidetracked from following leads in the Wallace case involving police officers, some worked off-duty for Death Row Records.

"I think I was getting too close to the truth," he added. "I think they feared that the truth would be a scandal."

He believed that one of the officers involved is David Mack, a policeman tied to the LAPD Rampart Scandal, who was sent to prison for robbing a bank in 1997, the same year Biggie was killed.

Poole said Mack owned the same type of car driven by the gunman who shot Biggie.

Inneresting.

Wowsa!

50 Cent is now posting a PETITION against Diddy, claiming that Diddy is exploiting the memory of rapper The Notorious B.I.G. every chance he gets!

The petition reads:

Enough is enough, Biggie's name should never have become Diddy's Black Card. Just check out his latest video "The Ghost of Christopher Wallace" http://www.bit.ly/jay-diddy Let Diddy know to let B.I.G. rest in peace. When was the last time Diddy really was "biggin up his brother," not biggin up his bank?

Fiddy is NOT backing down — this is serious shiz!
