Not only has NYFW increased in the number of shows, boasting 143 this year, but it’s also becoming more diverse.
Yay!
Back in 2008, 87% of the models were white, but this year it decreased by a little over 7%, meaning 1/5 of the models were racially diverse!

Fashion and drinks. Does it get much better?!
Venus Williams showed off her EleVen by Venus Williams S/S 2013 collection at the Grey Goose Blue Door experience during NYFW on Wednesday, and there were plenty of notable people in the crowd, eager to see her work.
Among them were Ryan Lochte, girlfriend Miss USA Olivia Culpo, boxing champ Conor Dwyer and the jovial Andre Leon Talley.
Guests were surprised to receive specialty cocktails provided by Grey Goose, which were inspired by Venus and named MaVen.
It was much more than a fashion show; it was an event!

India has been the a popular theme on the New York runway this season, and Vera Wang was not one to be left out!
The newly single designer seemed to have a lot of fun with her S/S 2013 collection, which she debuted on Wednesday.
Wang offered many different textures, colors and prints creating a very inspired line that included beautiful dresses, tunics and a few Bermuda shorts. Bejeweled and sequin accents added some pizazz to the clothes.
If you were looking for a classic Wang collection, this was not it, but if you wanted something amazing to wear on a fab vacay, then look no further.

It’s all starting to come into focus.
Rachel Zoe's S/S 2013 collection was filled with looks that were day-to-night friendly.
The stylist included a lot of pantsuits, which is starting to become a signature thing for her, blazers and gowns. They were in bright summery colors like teal and orange, but there was a lot of classic monochromatic pieces as well.
One thing that stood out was that Zoe put together full ensembles, complete with floppy hats and sunglasses.

Kate Gosselin sashayed her way back into the spotlight via catwalk at the Real Fashion, Real Women charity fashion show on Wednesday.
Even though she's far from real, what with having a boob job and tummy tuck, the mother of eight did look great.
