A lot of people think that getting old sucks — and it's true, your body might become less and less mobile, but studies beginning to emerge that the older the brain gets, the more creative and innovative it becomes!

If you take a look at Debbie Downer research, you see claims of it becoming harder to learn things and slower reaction times after you cross the middle-age threshold.

That might not entirely be the case

At last, we know how fast the Grim Reapers runs walks!

A study comparing the walking speeds of elderly men found the faster a man walk, longer he lives.

The study was done over five years surveying 1,700 Australian men aged 70+.

266 died. With their deaths, the researchers were able to estimate the Grim Reaper's speed.

The Grim Reaper catches you if you walk less 1.8 miles an hour!

Admittedly, the study was tongue in cheek.

But it did find that older men who walk at least three MPH live longer.

Old people are not letting their age get to them like their counterparts would have 30 years ago — nope!

In fact, they've been getting smarter AND gettin' their freak on a lot more, which has lead to an even happier group of over 70's!

‘This is the rock and roll generation born in the 1930s and 40s now getting old and they are not going to be sitting on a park bench feeding the birds. Being 75 today is probably like being 55 was 30 years ago.’

To blame? Better schooling, for one. That takes care of the smarter, more clever aspect. So how about the sexy times?

Well, perhaps they're listening to Jane Fonda (73), who has been super open about getting mad ruddy even in her later years!

We say this is a great thing and totally gives us hope for when we get super old! Ha!
