Olive Garden Has Invented The Meatball Pizza Bowl — & We're VERY Wary About It!

This may be a bit much.

For carbohydrate lovers out there, Olive Garden may've invented your next greatest obsession. Earlier this year, the Italian chain eatery introduced their Meatball Pizza Bowl. Mainly, it's a deep dish pizza with some fancy finishings.

Specifically, the dish houses asiago, parmesan, and mozzarella cheeses within a seasoned pizza dough bowl. That combo is then topped with meat sauce and giant spicy Italian meatballs. Okay, is anyone else getting a stomach ache just thinking about this??

No offense, but it sounds kind of gross. Anyone else getting pasta nachos flashbacks??

But, hey, we LOVES us some unlimited soup, salad, and breadsticks, so we won't hate too hard!!

Be sure to ch-ch-check out the Meatball Pizza Bowl's debut for yourself (above)!! P.S. The new dish is only available during the week and before 3 p.m.

Would YOU dig in??

VOTE: Are Olive Garden's New Italian Pasta Nachos An Abomination To Nachos?

Filed under: FoodSuper BowlViral: NewsPlay With Perez

We've heard of nacho fries and dessert nachos — but this might cross a very sacred line.

Olive Garden just introduced a new menu item just in time for the Super Bowl: loaded pasta chips, AKA Italian pasta nachos. Delicious, yes, but quite controversial.

These homemade pasta chips — made from cut sheets of lasagna — are lightly fried and smothered in Italian cheeses and a hearty meat sauce, then topped with cherry peppers and an Alfredo drizzle.

It's a drool-worthy dish, no doubt, but one that's bound to make nacho purists feel sharply conflicted.

Would you devourer Olive Garden's Italian nachos, or is this the worst thing to happen to nachos since Nacho Libre?
