There's a chance more theatre-goers will come to the party fashionably late, but we have a feeling this film might just become one of the biggest box office flops ever!

The Numbers Are In! Straight Outta Compton Went Straight To The Top Of The Box Office!

Not too much to complain about this weekend for the guys involved with Straight Outta Compton!

That's because the biopic from Universal Pictures destroyed the box office, taking in more than $56.1 million in its debut weekend!

Considering that the F. Gary Gray-directed film only took $29 million to produce, that is called WINNING!!

Not all films were that lucky, though… The Man From U.N.C.L.E. opened up this weekend, too, and despite costing more than $80 million to bring to life, it only took in $13.5 million over the weekend. Oops!

What about U — did U see either of the new releases out this weekend?? What'd you think of them?!

Tomorrowland May Have Been A Box Office Dud, But Not Compared To These Flops! See The 15 Biggest Bombs In Movie History HERE!

no title

We're not sure you could call Tomorrowland a bomb, but it definitely didn't do the business Disney was betting on for its Memorial Day opening weekend.

It was number one at the box office but pulled in just $40.7 mil, compared to last year's X-Men: Days Of Future Past ($110.6 mil) and 2013's Fast & Furious 6 ($97.4 mil).

But enough about Tomorrow, let's talk about yesterday.

Insane budgets, bad advertising, terrible reviews have led to FAR worse financial disappointments than this one.

Furious 7 Runs Over Records At The Box Office! It Raked In HOW Much?!

We knew this flick would have a big weekend, but WOW!

Furious 7 premiered worldwide this weekend, smashing box office records left and right. Domestically it earned $143 on opening weekend, and abroad it earned another $240.

These are humongous April numbers! The next closest was Captain America: The Winter Soldier which made $95 million, in comparison. It's also the biggest opening weekend of 2015, a record which was previously held by Fifty Shades of Grey's $85 million.

The $2.4 billion franchise expects to continue to break records with this film, but they'll have some challengers, like Avengers: Age of Ultron, which premieres on May 1st.

There's one big reason why this flick is doing so well though, and that's the fact that is spans most demographics. This weekend, the breakdown of Furious 7 moviegoers was 44 percent under 25 years old, 37 percent of whom were Hispanic, 25 percent were Caucasian, 24 percent were African American, and 10 percent were Asian.

Of course, a big draw for the film was that it was Paul Walker's last, following his tragic death in 2013. But overall, fans just really love this franchise.

It will be exciting to see how much this film continues to earn!

Universal is reporting that it will rake in $81.67M over three days, and $90.658M over four days, screening in 3,646 theaters.

This is the best President's Day weekend opening record EVER!

Congrats to everyone involved with the film! You have titillated a nation and made millions doing it!

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 1 Crushes The Box Office With The Biggest Opening Of The Year! But Is It Actually BAD For The Franchise??

no title

It's no surprise that The Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 1 was the biggest hit of the weekend, but wow!

With no other new releases to compete with, it was the biggest opening weekend of the entire year!

Jennifer Lawrence and her dour band of rebels brought in an incredible $123 million, dwarfing the rest of the films currently in theaters and topping 2014's other biggest hits Transformers ($100m), Captain America ($95m), and Guardians Of The Galaxy ($94m).

[ Video: It's Finally HERE! Listen To Jennifer Lawrence Sing The Hanging Tree From The Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 1! ]

But believe it or not, the numbers were actually a bit disappointing.

See, the two previous films both opened to weekends of over $150 mil, securing their places in the top ten openings of all time!

Why the dropoff?
