Andrew Garfield At The U.S. Open Finals!

Andrew Garfield Emma Stone US Open

Luckily, Andrew Garfield was NOT playing in the U.S. Open finals… he was just there to watch.

We say luckily because we're pretty sure Spiderman's reflexes would destroy every single opponent, and that wouldn't leave any fun competition!

LOLz!

We are wondering, however, where Emma is!

Maybe she thinks tennis is boring!

Is that the case, Mizzzzz Stone?? Ha!

Serena Williams LOSES In First Round!

Serena Loses First Round

WHAT??

Talk about shocking news — Serena Williams has lost in the very first round of the 2012 French Open! Nobody saw this coming!

And that's not to say that her opponent, Virginie Razzano, didn't play a great match OR didn't have the talent to bring her down… it's just…

Wow. This is the first time she's been knocked out in the first round at the French Open. She started in 1998.

That's a big number to stop in its tracks!

Virginie even played through some tough calls against her to bring out the 4-6, 7-6 (5), 6-3 victory!

When asked about it, Serena said:

"You know, that's life."

It sure is, Serena. It sure is.

It was a wonderful try, anyway!

Tiring Out Your Opponent In The Boxing Ring

Alex Brenes new pic

FitPerez reader Tim has already gotten a good workout in at Alex Brenes' gym in West Hollywood, but has a question for the boxing pro, asking:

Hi Alex,

Love your class on Melrose! Came down the other week. Have a quick question.

What are strategies that can be employed by a boxer to tire his opponent out and conserve his own energy at the same time?

According to Alex:

Thanks Tim,

I love the fact that people that come to my classes at DeLaBBC know that even though it is just to get in shape (no contact, the safest boxing classes in town) it is REAL BOXING!!! There are tons of ways to tire your opponent and the experience of a coach will help. One would be laying all your weight on your rival. This will tire out his legs, but you will be too close to his hands. Another tactic can be moving a lot and using your legs, but this will entail being in better shape than your opponent. The best bet is just a good old ass whoopin'! See you at the gym!

Octo-Mom Looking For Opponent In Celebrity Boxing Match

Nadaya Suleyman (aka Octo-Mom) is looking for someone to beat up (or get beat up by) in the Female Celebrity Wrestling match on Wednesday, June 29.

The match will be three rounds, one minute each.

Nadya has been training months for the event.

We must admit, we’re looking forward to Nadya fighting. With that many kids you KNOW he’s got some aggression built up!
