katie-couric-discusses-working-with-matt-lauer-again

Here's hoping! We LOVED them together!

Katie Couric has finally made her decision to leave CBS Evening News public, which in return has prompted speculation regarding a possible syndicated show for the news anchor, and now, she's opening up about the possibility of her former Today Show castmate Matt Lauer joining her in the a new venture when his contract is up in 2012!

She explains:

"Matt and I have undeniable chemistry in the most platonic sense of the word. We are like an old, married couple. We finish each other's sentences. He is very committed to the Today show. But who knows? You never know what the future may bring. We may work together. It's hard to say right now. We have a fun repartee."

Wow!

We don't know about you, but she definitely is pretty optimistic about the possibility, don't you think?!

Our fingers are staying crossed!

What do U think?? Do U want to see Katie and Matt reunited??

Wes Craven Talks Scream 4 Issues…And The Possibility Of Scream 5 & 6!

wes craven talks scream 4 and possible sequels

As we've mentioned before, we're frustrated with the lack of new ideas being turned into movies these days!

That being said…we'll admit we're excited for Scream 4, and we're intrigued by the possibility of more Scream sequels after that, mostly because it seems like they're actually putting care into these, and not just churning them out like other franchises…

Here's what Wes Craven had to say about some Scream 4 script issues he's run into:

“In some ways it’s a Wes Craven film, and in way it’s not entirely, because it’s not a script I have control of. It’s ultimately controlled by what the studio wants in the script. My job is much more bringing whatever experience and expertise and creativity I can. Look, there was a bumpy period when things shifted over from Kevin to Ehren. I signed up to do a script by Kevin and unfortunately that didn’t go all the way through the shooting. But it certainly is Kevin’s script and concept and ideas and themes.”

That's certainly how it goes when working with studios. Here's Wes on the possibility of more Scream films:

“When I initially met with Kevin, he sketched out what the next two would be, and I found it really fascinating. A lot depends on whether they come up with scripts to flesh out. But certainly, I’m up for it, if the script is there. It’s a fascinating thing to do two trilogies in a career.”

Despite the issues that Wes addressed, we're going to continue to remain optimistic about Scream 4. As far as the sequels are concerned, we'll def be curious to hear more about those…as long as the next movie is good, that is.

Would U like to see more Scream movies? Or should they pack it in after #4?

First Clip Of Tom Hanks And Julia Roberts Reunited In Larry Crowne

When we first heard about Larry Crowne, we didn't think it sounded so hot, but we figured we'd give it a shot because of the Tom Hanks/Julia Roberts factor.

After watching this first clip, we're thinking it actually might be pretty good!

There's something sweet about Tom in this scene…brings us back to his Big days.

We're becoming increasingly optimistic for this one.

Will U check Larry Crowne out when it hits theaters?

N.E.R.D. Shows Love For Chris Brown On New Album

nerd dedicates song to chris brown

As much as we were hesitant to say it, we liked Chris Brown's new song Yeah 3X, and we're curious to see where he goes from here musically.

Looks like we're not the only ones giving him some reluctant love out there.

N.E.R.D. has dedicated their new song God Bless Us All to Chris.

Here's what N.E.R.D frontman Pharrell Williams had to say about it:

"'God Bless Us All' is about Chris. When you hear me say, 'Hold your head up lil' bruh,' I'm talking about Chris. When I say, ‘You're a Brown in this world that's black and white,' I wasn't talking about the fact that there are issues and you're either black or white. I was saying the world is just very clear. It's black and white."

Looks like the song was made in an attempt to keep Chris optimistic, and not focus on the negative.

We're still not at a point or anywhere near it where we would dedicate a song to Chris Brown, but we certainly agree with the message of focusing on the positives in life.

What do U think of N.E.R.D.'s song being dedicated to Chris Brown?

“I feel strong,” said Douglas. “The tumor is shrinking. The odds are good.”

Michael is taking everything in stride, and even has a sense of humor about his situation.

“I haven’t found God yet,” said the renowned actor with grin.

Alexander And The Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day Is Getting The Film Treatment!

6a01157jb142e48a970c0133f03.jpg

We hope they don't fuck this up trying to give it the Where The Wild Things Are treatment! We love this book too much for it to suck!

Director Shawn Levy has reportedly signed on to direct a 'high concept' film adaptation of the Judith Viorst classic Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day!

For those of you who grew up under a rock, the book revolves around a sour puss kid who gets metaphorically shit on for about 45 pages.

We think our favorite little burst of rainbows and kittens Kristen Stewart should play Alexander!

This whole 'high concept' description worries us. Like we mentioned, it worked for Spike Jonze on Where The Wild Things Are, because well, he's a good filmmaker, but Shawn Levy took a massive dump on his version of the Pink Panther (twice!), and when Hilary Duff is the best part of your movie - Cheaper By The Dozen (twice!) - then you pretty much fail at life.

But we refuse to be like our beloved Stewie Puss Puss Alexander and will remain cautiously optimistic about this film!

What do U think?? Will U go see Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day?
