California Man Is The First In United States To Receive A Living Lung!

Wowzers!

Fernando Padilla recently suffered the unfortunate disease, Pulmonary Fibrosis, which scars and thickens the lungs without a known cause.

But because of the new technology that offers a transplant of an actual LIVING LUNG, the long time construction worker was saved and relieved from his oxygen tank.

That's cray!

In the video (above) UCLA Dr. Abbas Ardehali explains how the procedure goes down, and we must say, it's rather amusing!!

Ch-ch-check it out!!

Awful! Boy Sells His Kidney On The Black Market For An iPad!

boy-sells-his-kidney-on-the-black-market-for-an-ipad

We know iPads are pretty in demand, but THIS?!

What on Earth is wrong with this world?!

A 17-year-old boy from China reportedly sold one of his kidneys for about $3,200 in order to pay for the Apple product!

Only identified by his last name, Zheng, the boy apparently contacted an ad on-line offering cash for potential organ donors, but after suffering complications from the surgery, he told his mother what happened, and she notified the authorities!

He said:

"I wanted to buy an iPad 2, but I didn't have the money. When I surfed the internet I found an advert posted online by agent saying they were able to pay RMB20,000 (£2,000) to buy a kidney."

His mother then told the police:

"When he came back, he had a laptop and a new Apple handset. I wanted to know how he had got so much money and he finally confessed that he had sold one of his kidneys."

The hospital in which the surgery took place admitted to renting out space to a private businessman, but have denied any knowledge of the surgery.

Oh, that's comforting! How on Earth could something this heinous be happening under so many people's noses?!

Absolutely deplorable! Sickening!

We sincerely hope that not only does this young man realize how foolish and potentially life-threatening his actions have been, but that he doesn't have any more serious complications from the surgery.

Furthermore, may this raise people's awareness to these kind of goings-on, so these kind of back-alley surgeries can be prevented in the future!

So scary.

What Happened To Our Penis Spines?

Filed under: Wacky, Tacky & TrueScience!

Penis Spines

Although humans and chimpanzees share 97% of the same DNA, there are some BIG differences.

Two include our brain and penis, but did you know chimps have penis spines!?

Not like fish or porcupine spines, but small bumps on the organ, which scientists speculate may have been used to aid in sperm competition.

The male chimpanzee's goal is to get his mate pregnant and its bumpy penis may be used to take out the partners sperm if she has recently had sex.

Kind of a gross visual, we know, but after studying human and chimpanzee genome and androgen receptors, scientists theorize our earliest human ancestors probably shared this trait five to seven millions of years ago before we split off into separate species.

Due to millions of years of very kind evolution, humans eventually lost this genome that causes this trait and thanks be to God (who may or may not have anything to do with it) because we'd hate to have prickly peen.

While scientists can only credit natural selection, we're assuming this is how the change went down:

Ancient Early Human Woman: Ew…what are those things? They kind of hurt.

Ancient Early Human Male: My penis bumps. Everyone has them.

Ancient Early Human Woman: That guy doesn't.

Ancient Early Human Woman walks away toward other Ancient Early Human Male named Carl with no penis bumps.
Ancient Early Human Male: Dang it!
