Vertigo decided as best film of all time

It's funny how time always seems to change popular opinion.

What once was labeled as "far-fetched nonsense" has now been decided upon as the best film of all time! We're talking about Alfred Hitchcock's 1958 thriller Vertigo, which just knocked Citizen Kane from its pedestal for the first time in 50 years!

Over 800 critics and experts weighed in on the BFI Sight and Sound Poll — a prestigious

James Franco Interviews For Playboy

He's really doing Playboy!!

James Franco is a poet, author, actor, olympic curler, producer, blogger, Nobel Prize winning chemist, and now he's even a magazine columnist!

Okay, we made two of those up, but the guy is definitely a jack James of all trades.

He's a poor man's Orson Welles! He's a rich man's Vanilla Ice!

In the July/August double issue, James has a nice fireside chat with performance artist Marina Abramović. It's the first of six regular Francophile columns Playboy asked him to write!

This would be awesome to have, but it'd be cheaper to just pick up the Citizen Kane blu-ray for $40!

Orson Welles' Citizen Kane Oscar Goes Up For Sale…Because Apparently You Can Sell Oscars???

citizen kane oscar for sale

Does that mean other people will start putting up Oscars for sale? How much would it cost for Daniel Day-Lewis' There Will Be Blood Oscar? That one seems like it'd be worth having! LOLz!

Today, El Lay's Nate D. Sanders Auctions announced that they'd be putting Orson Welles' Citizen Kane Oscar for sale online this month.

Welles' Kane Oscar was "assumed to be lost" for decades, but it was actually in the possession of a cinematographer who was given the trophy by Welles himself.

The seller's name hasn't been identified, but

George Lucas Wants To Bring Back The Dead!

george-lucas-buys-rights-to-deceased-icons-footage-to-digitally-include-them-in-new-feature

Something about this makes us feel extremely uncomfortable.

Director and special effects king George Lucas has reportedly starting buying the rights to deceased film legends like Orson Welles and Barbara Stanwyck so he can use the old footage, and combine it with technology to digitally place them in a new feature!

According to Lucas' friend Mel Smith:

"George has been buying up the film rights to dead actors in the hope of using computer trickery to put them all together, so you'd have Orson Welles and Barbara Stanwyck alongside today's stars."

Doesn't seem very respectful to the actors and their memory!

Just because you have the technology to do something doesn't mean you should!

Hasn't anyone seen Jurassic Park?! LOLz!

But in all seriousness, we hope that whatever he's planning on doing is taken with the utmost care and respect to their families. We all saw what happened to the new Star Wars trilogy when he focused on the CGI instead of, you know, the actual actors.

Thoughts??
