What a wonderful future we live in!

We can't cure cancer yet, and nobody is leaving work in a flying car, but HEY — we can have a teddy bear voiced by Seth MacFarlane present an award at the Oscars with Mark Wahlberg!

We say that's a fair trade, LOLz!!

Ted, of course, is voiced by our host. Or is he? Maybe Ted is actually real, because he made this statement:

His story helped secure her an Academy Award, and now, hopefully, her presence will help secure him a WIN at the Super Bowl!

Sandra Bullock has clearly not forgotten the critical and commercial success she garnered for playing the role of Leigh Anne Tuohy in The Blind Side - based on the family who took in Michael Oher and helped secure him a successful football career that has ultimately led to his position with the Baltimore Ravens - as according to the real-life matriarch, the actress will be present at the big game tonight in New Orleans, cheering him on!

Obviously, these folks and their story have been such a big part of Sandy's life, and we couldn't be more thrilled that she wants to continue to be there to support them in any way she can!

Well, we think it's safe to say that the members of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences must be kicking themselves right now!

And if they're not, they SHOULD be!

Because after being NOTICEABLY snubbed from the "Best Director" category of the upcoming Academy Awards for his truly magnificent work on Argo, Ben Affleck was named outstanding director for the flick at the 65th Annual Directors Guild of America Awards last night in El Lay, beating out Kathryn Bigelow for Zero Dark Thirty, Tom Hooper for Les Miserables, Ang Lee for Life of Pi and Steven Spielberg for Lincoln!

But what's most telling - at least to us - about the win is that it marks the THIRD time since the DGA Awards started in 1948 that its 15,000 members have voted in this category for a nominee that has been up for the Oscar!

Frankly, between this and the Golden Globe, we're just glad to see that he's being recognized for his outstanding work!

It's MORE than deserved, Ben!

And we think VERY telling of how the Academy might vote for your flick in the categories for which it HAS been nominated!

But only time will confirm that!

Perseverance took Anne Hathaway all the way to the Oscars!!!

The award season's sweetheart landed the much-coveted role of Faustine in Les Miserables, but she didn't get it without putting up a FIGHT.

Initially, the producers of the award-worthy adaptation didn't even want the actress for the role.

As soon as we heard the news of Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult's break-up, we fell in devastation!!

Okay, not really… but we were pretty bummed for the Girl on Fire.

Sources say they just grew apart though, and that definitely happens when you're young so we're sure it's for the best. And it ain't exactly like J.Law doesn't have anything else on her plate these days.

Well isn't this just precious?!?

9-year old Oscar nominee, Quvenzhané Wallis recently got a chance to visit the set and cast of Disney's A.N.T. Farm, which was quite exciting for her, considering that it was one of her wishes.

After the head honchos of the show conducted a phone interview with the Beasts of the Southern Wild star, she expressed:
