Oscar Isaac Says Carrie Fisher Slapped Him 27 Times While Filming The Upcoming Star Wars Movie!

Carrie Fisher always knew how to keep a scene fresh!

And for her Star Wars costar Oscar Isaac, that meant being slapped 27 times when filming The Last Jedi!

The Promise actor stopped by The Late Show on Thursday and spoke on the honor of acting alongside the late icon in the upcoming film, which sees his character Poe Dameron in a lot of scenes with Fisher's General Leia.

Isaac explained the first of those scenes required Fisher to slap him in the face, which she switched up by smacking a different part of his face for a whopping 27 takes. Ouch!

Carrie Fisher Reigns Over Vanity Fair's Stunning Covers Of Star Wars: The Last Jedi Heroes & Villains!

Back in full force!

Vanity Fair celebrated Star Wars' 40th anniversary with four exclusive covers featuring the stars of the upcoming film The Last Jedi.

The covers of the issue, which hits newsstands later this month, were shot by Annie Leibovitz on location in England and Ireland in May 2016.

Scoring her own solo cover as General Leia Organa is the late Carrie Fisher, with a second cover featuring (the last!?) Jedi duo Luke Skywalker and Rey — aka Mark Hamill and Daisy Ridley.

A third cover shows Oscar Isaac (Poe Dameron), John Boyega (Finn), Kelly Marie Tran (Rose Tico) and BB-8. The villainous forth cover features Gwendoline Christie (Captain Phasma), Domhnall Gleeson (General Hux) and Adam Driver (Kylo Ren).

Neil Patrick Harris & Oscar Isaac Share Emotional Tributes To Former Costars Debbie Reynolds & Carrie Fisher

Countless celebrities have been paying tribute to Debbie Reynolds and Carrie Fisher after the mother-daughter duo tragically passed away within a day of each other earlier this week.

And while the beloved icons have touched the lives of many over the years, it's always much more heartbreaking to hear from those who actually knew the late legends.

Neil Patrick Harris and Oscar Isaac both took to social media to mourn Fisher and Reynolds with emotional posts, expressing their admiration for the actresses they had previously worked with.

Isaac, who starred alongside the Star Wars icon in 2015's The Force Awakens, remembered the 60-year-old for her sharp wit in poignant Facebook posts — in which he shared a photo of Fisher and Mark Hamill on set.

The 39-year-old also shared a photo of Fisher's beloved dog Gary, writing:

The Academy Responds To #OscarsSoWhite With Diverse Class Of New Members Including Idris Elba, Oscar Isaac, Michael B. Jordan, & More!

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts And Sciences is already starting to make good on its promise to double its number of women and diverse members!

On Wednesday, the Academy released a list of the 683 names of the organization's newest invitees, marking the biggest and most diverse class of new voters ever!

Stars like Idris Elba, Oscar Isaac, Michael B. Jordan, and more have been invited to join the elite group, following the Oscars' #OscarsSoWhite controversy earlier this year.

For the 2016 ceremony, all 20 of the acting nominees were white, sparking outrage across the country.

But now, Academy President Cheryl Boone Isaacs is following through on her plan to include more female faces and diverse members in the mix, by also inviting stars like America Ferrera, Eva Mendes, John Boyega, Regina King, Anthony Anderson, and more.

Plus, transgender filmmakers and sisters Lana and Lilly Wachowski were also asked to become members!

Rose McGowan Calls X-Men: Apocalypse Billboard 'Offensive' For Depicting Violence Against Women!

UPDATE 5:55 P.M. EST: Fox has now apologized for the billboard, saying in a statement:

"In our enthusiasm to show the villainy of the character Apocalypse we didn't immediately recognize the upsetting connotation of this image in print form. Once we realized how insensitive it was, we quickly took steps to remove those materials. We apologize for our actions and would never condone violence against women"


X-Men: Apocalypse, the most recent installment of Fox's superhero franchise, hit theaters last weekend and landed the No. 1 spot — but not everyone is a fan!

That's because Rose McGowan has joined a growing number of people who are NOT happy about the poster showing Oscar Isaac's villainous Apocalypse choking Jennifer Lawrence's Mystique because they believe it depicts "casual violence against women".

Oscar Isaac Talks Star Wars, Donald Trump, & Being 'The Internet's Boyfriend' In Candid Rolling Stone Interview!

With starring roles in the upcoming X-Men and Star Wars films, it's safe to say that Oscar Isaac is a bona fide movie star.

But the 37-year-old actor made it clear he has no interest in being identified as a star of any variety!

In a new interview with Rolling Stone, The Force Awakens star actor opened up about the passionate fan base he accumulated over the past year after being dubbed by bloggers as "the Internet's boyfriend" — a title that Isaac isn't expecting to last long.

He quipped:

"The Internet never struck me as being into monogamous relationships. It's very promiscuous, the Internet."
