Warner Bros unofficially announced they're developing a prequel to The Shining!!
That idea is more cray than Jack Nicholson busting through our bathroom door with an axe!!
First Psycho got a prequel TV series, then it was Silence of the Lambs' turn, and now Stanley Kubrick's horror masterpiece might enjoy be subjected to the same treatment?
Prequels and sequels are one rung further up the ladder than remakes but the trend is disconcerting!
It's obviously a bit too early to talk plot but Stephen King's novel contains tons of allusions to previous murders and mayhem within the horrifically haunted Overlook Motel. We imagine there are tons of different directions they could turn!
Tread lightly, WB. The Shining is an all time classic!
