But staying the course isn't going to do them any favors. They need to start making a splash in the ratings if they are going to have any hope of staying in flight on ABC.
Christina Ricci's Pan Am, while getting a five episode order last week, is still in danger of getting canned, drawing 5.24 mil last night with a 1.8 rating. Par the course, but not stellar enough to guarntee it's safety.
Meanwhile, ABC's other freshman drama Once Upon A Time held up, with 11.4 million total viewers and a 3.7 rating, tying with The Simpsons. Finally, Desperate Housewives isn't going out with such a bang, bringing in only 8.7 million and a 2.8 rating. They could do much better.
Still, could be worse….

Here's some magical news for you!
ABC has decided to give full-season orders to three fan-favorite shows. Happy Endings, hich previously received a pickup of six additional scripts, has gotten the greenlight to finish out the season, while Tim Allen's Last Man Standing got a full season pickup. Additionally, and by no surpsie, Once Upon A Time will also get to finish out is freshman season, being as it's being hailed as the new breakout drama of the network.
The same can not be said of Pan Am, but it's staying in flight for now. ABC is giving the show 5 more scripts to see if it can land into the hearts of viewers.
Fingers-crossed for you, Christina Ricci!

Well, he certainly wouldn't be our first choice as the pilot of a plane on which we were a passenger!
Wendy Williams is one brave stewardess! Wait, flight attendant?
Is it all right to call her a stewardess since it's vintage?! LOLz!
Check out the talk show host alongside The Situation in this pretty cute, Pan Am-inspired sketch on yesterday's very special Halloween episode of The Wendy Williams Show (above)!
Hey! Maybe this will help with the ABC drama's ratings!
They need all the help they can get at this point!

Don't be surprised if you see a lot of people dressed as Nicki Minaj this weekend because according to Google she's the most searched Halloween costume.
Unfortunately for those wanting to buy a pre-made Minaj costume, you're going to be S.O.L. because there aren't any. Instead, you're going to have to use your imagination and do it DIY-style.
Check out the gallery (below) for some inspiration!

Would you expect anything less from the writers of LOST???
The series premiere of ABC's Once Upon a Time brought in very impressive numbers last night, with 12.8 million viewers and a 3.9 rating in adults 18-49! Wowsa!
Following the Once premiere, Desperate Housewives was able to maintain a solid 9.2 million viewers and a 3.0 rating in adults 18-49, but Pan Am did NOT fare so well with 5.8 million viewers and a 1.8 rating in adults 18-49. Ouchie!
We're still not optimistic for Pan Am, but we have a feeling this will be the
start continuation of a beautiful friendship between ABC and the LOST writers!
What do U think? Will Once Upon a Time become ABC's next big hit show???

Hopefully this includes Ashton Kutcher too! He needs to be focusing on his marriage right now!
Even though Two and Half Men's ratings have dropped from 28.7 million viewers for the premiere to less than 16 million, an on-set source is saying that nobody in the cast/crew is concerned:

We're afraid that this one might crash and burn just as The Playboy club did. Shame!
Christina Ricci better start looking for a new indie movie to star in as we're thinking her show, Pan Am, won't be staying in flight for much longer. The show took the very distant third-place spot last night in the 10PM ratings, coming in with a 4.7/ 8 rating.
It surely doesn't help matters that Desperate Housewives is losing it's audience as well, even with its final season, dropping a staggering 30 percent from one-year earlier (8.9/13 to 6.2/ 9 at 9 p.m.).
Numbers like these aren't helping anybody. Someone needs to happen quick if Pan Am has a prayer of making it to sweeps.
