We hate to say it, but we are NOT optimistic that this show will be coming back for a second season.
Last week, we heard that ABC cancelled Pan Am…but then the network released a statement saying that the show was "still in contention for next season."
Unfortunately, ratings for the most recent episode of Pan Am were down 11% from its previous episode, which aired three weeks ago.
We'd recommend that fans of the show cherish the next few episodes, because at this point, we'll be surprised if any more are ordered.
Sorry, Pan Am! Can't win 'em all!
What do U think? Is there any chance that Pan Am will return for season two???

So much for those friendly skies.
ABC has decided to cancel their new drama series Pan Am, starring Christina Ricci.
In recent weeks, the show's ratings have plummeted so this doesn't come as a huge surprise to us.
Actress Karin Evanasse confirmed the news on her Twitter:

Look! Up in the sky! It's a bird! It's a plane! It's a … Cullen?
Next week, the ABC show Pan Am is getting a little help from Twilight star Ashley Greene in the form of a four episode arc. The former vampire won't be donning the iconic blue suit, but she will have a past connection to Ted … and no doubt the story is juicy!
Tell us more, tell us more!!!

Ashley Greene will be flying the friendly skies as she has just signed a three-episode arc on ABC's Pan Am.
She will play a debutante with a past connection to the show's character, Ted.
Her first episode will arrive on December 4, titled Kiss Kiss Bang Bang.
Oooh, sounds a bit scandalous!
She's going to have a busy couple months promoting Breaking Dawn and now her appearance Pan Am. Looks like things are on the up and up for Ashley!

But staying the course isn't going to do them any favors. They need to start making a splash in the ratings if they are going to have any hope of staying in flight on ABC.
Christina Ricci's Pan Am, while getting a five episode order last week, is still in danger of getting canned, drawing 5.24 mil last night with a 1.8 rating. Par the course, but not stellar enough to guarntee it's safety.
Meanwhile, ABC's other freshman drama Once Upon A Time held up, with 11.4 million total viewers and a 3.7 rating, tying with The Simpsons. Finally, Desperate Housewives isn't going out with such a bang, bringing in only 8.7 million and a 2.8 rating. They could do much better.
Still, could be worse….
