At Edinburgh Zoo in Scotland, they're trying some inneresting techniques to try and get their pandas to mate.

It is notoriously difficult to get pandas to mate so zookeepers are trying everything they can to get the pandas in the mood.

They've apparently always played radio for the pandas, but recently, they've switched up the tunes to smooth, easy listening.

They even started playing Marvin Gaye's Let's Get It On on a daily basis!

China is very good at getting pandas to breed, even though they're notoriously hard to get them to do it in captivity.

The scientists take their jobs very seriously.

So seriously that they've resorted to dressing up as panda bears while at work.

The pandas have trouble integrating once released into the wild because they grow too accustomed to the researchers.

So these pandas never see a human face so their transition will be that much easier.

So funny!

ZOMG!

The most SOOPA CUTE babies in the world might be on their way to Washington.

Scientists at the National Zoo say they have detected a rise in hormone levels in the female giant panda, Mei Xiang (may-SHONG) that could indicate she may give birth or end a false pregnancy by early July.

The zoo said Tuesday that the hormone rise isn't enough to know whether Mei Xiang is pregnant.

Scientists say panda fetuses don't start developing until the final weeks of gestation.

A Chinese panda breeding expert helped zoo scientists artificially inseminate Mei Xiang in January. She and panda Tian Tian had attempted to mate but weren't successful. Totally get that.

Their only cub, was born July 9, 2005.

Nooo! It should have been us instead!!!

The China Panda Protection Center in Sichuan province said in a statement Ming Ming died May 7, but it was reported only Tuesday in local media.

Ming Ming had kidney failure. More details about her were not available.

Wild pandas live 15 years on average and captive ones 22 years.

We should celebrate Ming Ming's longevity — but when something so cute and so rare dies it's so damn sad!

RIP Ming Ming!
