Wow! This could get her exactly the kind of stateside exposure that she needs - ESPECIALLY if she'll be on the judges panel of The X Factor!
Sources close to the production Glee have revealed that series creator Ryan Murphy is apparently so taken with the HAWT Cheryl Cole track Parachute that he's reached out to her people so his cast can perform it on the show toward the beginning of the third season, when she's expected to make her US debut on Simon Cowell's aforementioned reality competition!
A source reveals:
"Murphy thinks 'Parachute' is pop perfection and he knows that Cheryl is going to be a big star in the States. It also helps that UK Glee fans will be aware of the song. He spoke to Cole's people and they agreed to let the track be used. They are now thinking about releasing the song as her debut US single as it will be great exposure for her if used on such a well-loved show such as Glee."
Excellent!
We have to say - this is probably the best marketing plan Chezza's people could have come up with to get people in the States to notice her, and it just fell into their laps!
People are going to LOVE the song - especially if there's a version done by Miz Lea Michele!
And if you haven't heard it already, check out the track and music video (above)!
We've got our fingers crossed, gurl! We'd love to see this pan out!
What do U think?? Will the US love Chezza as much as the UK does?
