The band is a Universal artist, and the 34-year-old served as an international producer manager for Mercury Records. UMG CEO Lucian Grainge issued a statement about Thomas' untimely passing, writing:

"At this point, we have confirmed that Thomas Ayad, an international product manager for Mercury Records lost his life in the attack on the theater. This is an unspeakably appalling tragedy. I cannot even begin to express the depth of my sorrow. On behalf of everyone here at UMG, we extend our most profound sympathies to his parents and all of his friends and family. Today is a dark day. We are a family. Let's support one another as we grapple with the weight of this darkness."

Over the weekend, it was also confirmed that the Eagles of Death Metal's merchandise manager, Nick Alexander, was also killed in the horrific incident.

The 36-year-old's family released a statement, saying:

"It is with huge sorrow that we can confirm that our beloved Nick lost his life at the Bataclan last night. Nick was not just our brother, son and uncle; he was everyone's best friend – generous, funny and fiercely loyal. Nick died doing the job he loved and we take great comfort in knowing how much he was cherished by his friends around the world. Thank you for your thoughts and respect for our family at this difficult time. Peace and light."

What a shocking story of survival!

Gregoire Philonenko was at the Bataclan theater on Friday night with his 19-year-old son and some friends to see the band Eagles of Death Metal when the terror attacks were launched across Paris.

As people began to die around him, Philonenko and his son both fell to the ground and played dead, hoping they would miraculously be left alone — until one of the terrorists began walking their way and shooting roughly every third person lying down to make sure that they were really dead.

Philonenko wanted him and his son to crawl away, but he couldn't without being seen by the terrorists, and a disability left him with limited mobility — he has a prosthetic right leg.

And now, Ibrahim's brother Salah is a fugitive from justice after he escaped to Belgium before police could capture him after the attacks.

The Abdeslam family — rocked to their core that their sons were involved in something so heinous — spoke to reporters about the events, saying that Ibrahim carried out the attacks because he was "stressed," and that they were "shocked" and "thinking of the victims."

Ibrahim's other brother, Mohamed — who was arrested after the attacks but later released without charge — said of the tragedy:

The President of France has officially said that the country "is at war" following Friday's deadly terrorist attacks in Paris.

During an historic meeting with both houses of parliament on Monday morning, President François Hollande issued a statement saying that France would respond to ISIS killing 129 people by "not just containing, but destroying" the terrorist cell.

It's unclear if this was a legitimate declaration of war or more of a manner of speaking, but he clearly got his point across.

The news comes just a day after Prime Minister Manuel Valls also said that the country was "at war with terrorism" following the French Police decision to raid 168 homes over the weekend.

President François Hollande stated that he will be meeting with President Barack Obama and Vladimir Putin later this week.
