Charles Manson Denied Parole For The 12th Time

Charles Manson denied parole

Sorry Charlie, but you're not getting out THAT easy.

Infamous murderer and cult leader Charles Manson was denied parole on Wednesday for the 12th and possibly final time.

He was convicted in 1972 for committing seven murders, including Sharon Tate, and was sentenced to death. Since California declared the death penalty was unconstitutional, he has just been rotting in prison.

The 77-year-old's next chance at parole will be in 15 years and he'll be 92. Considering his reputation, we doubt the parole board will like him any better then.

Bank Forecloses On OJ Simpson's Miami Home

OJ Simpson house foreclosure

Not that he needs it since he's busy serving a 33-year prison sentence for armed robbery, but he's probably still pretty bummed about this.

OJ Simpson's 4 bedroom, 4 bathroom Miami home is being foreclosed on! Guess he couldn't keep up with the bills for the $575,000 property he purchased in 2000.

By the time the former football player gets out of prison, he'll most likely be in his 70s (providing he gets parole) and ready to retire to Boca Raton anyway.

Ex-Wife Of Gucci Heir Chooses Jail Over Parole

patrizia-reggiani-refuses-parole-because-she-would-have-to-get-a-job.jpg

And you won't believe the reason why!

Patrizia Reggiani, who had her ex-husband Maurizio Gucci killed in 1995, is finally up for parole after serving half of her 26 year jail sentence but she's not going anywhere.

The Italian "Black Widow" told the parole board:

"No thanks, as it would mean getting a job and I have never worked a day in my life."

So instead Patrizia will sit in her cell watering her plants and tending to her pet ferret.

California Prison System Releases 450 Violent Criminals By Mistake!

Prisoners released

If you don't already do so, it may be a good idea to start keeping your doors and windows locked from now on.

A computer error has lead California prison officials to release about 450 inmates with "a high risk for violence"!

Yikes!

The officials thought they were releasing prisoners as unsupervised parolees in a program meant to ease overcrowding by placing qualifying participants on "non-revocable parole". The ex-cons don't need to check in with a parole officer and can only be imprisoned again if caught committing a crime.

To clarify, however, 450 prisoners weren't just released in one day. An investigation on the program, that has been in effect since January 2010, revealed 31 prisoners out of 200 released were NOT eligible for parole and 9 of those were determined likely to commit violent crimes.

Using 15% error rate they found in their sample of the 10,134 former inmates who were on non-revocable parole in July of last year, they've estimated that 450 violent criminals were mistakenly released, with about 1000 others who committed less violent offenses on the loose.

This alarming news comes just 2 days after the U.S. Supreme Court ruled Cali's prisons are overcrowded and ordered state officials to reduce the population by 33,000!

On Wednesday, Senator Ted Lieu, who ordered the investigation, asked, "How can the public have confidence they can release 33,000 felons safely?"

Good question!

What do U think California should do to correct this mistake?

John Lennon's Killer Denied Parole Again!

Good!

A parole board has decided not to release John Lennon's killer, Mark David Chapman, after his interview that took place today via teleconference at Attica Correctional Facility in upstate New York.

It was Chapman's sixth appearance before the board since becoming eligible for parole back in 2000. He will be eligible once again in 2012.

The board wrote to Chapman that they remain concerned about "the disregard you displayed for the norms of our society and the sanctity of human life when, after careful planning, you travelled to New York for the sole purpose of killing John Lennon" and that "release remains inappropriate at this time and incompatible with the welfare of the community."

Thoughts?

Go Yoko! John Lennon's Widow Wants Murderer Kept In Jail!

johnnap080429038310.jpg

It's a 20-years-to-life sentence. We're thinking she wants him in there for life!

And we don't blame her!!!

Next week, the man who killed the legendary John Lennon will be up for parole. As she has done for the last six times this has happened, Yoko Ono will oppose the release. Her lawyer explains that she has yet again sent a letter to the parole board, urging them to keep her husband's murderer, Mark David Chapman, behind bars.

In that letter, Ono wrote that if Chapman is released, "I am afraid it will bring back the nightmare, the chaos and confusion once again. Myself and John's two sons would not feel safe for the rest of our lives."

Poor thing! The woman has already lost her husband. She should loose her sense of security as well.

Besides, we can't even fathom the public outcry if this guy were allowed to walk the streets.

Keep him locked up, where he belongs!
