Jimmy Kimmel's Uncle Frank Has Passed Away

Such a loss.

Jimmy Kimmel's Uncle Frank was such a good sport and had an incredible sense of humor and an unlimited source of kindness. He was a NYC cop for a long time, and retired to become a security guard at Jimmy's show.

Jimmy would send Uncle Frank to do hilarious bits, and would team him up with the unlikeliest people, like Guillermo Rodriguez who is another go-to personality on the show.

We are so sad to hear he's passed, and our hearts go out to Jimmy and his family.

Barbra Streisand, Madonna And Others Pay Tribute To Elizabeth Taylor

The passing of Elizabeth Taylor is being felt by everyone, especially in the Hollywood community. Several celebs, especially those who knew her best, have released statements to honor their friend and collegue.

One such star is Barbra Streisand, who this morning expressed her sadness over losing the legend and great humanitarian. Barbra wrote:

"It's the end of an era. It wasn't just her beauty or her stardom. It was her humanitarianism. She put a face on HIV/AIDS. She was funny. She was generous. She made her life count."

What a great sentiment…"She made her life count."

Other celebrities have shared their thoughts on the passing of Liz and what she meant to them. Here are some of their thoughts:

Madonna: "I am so sorry to hear that this great legend has passed. I admired and respected her not only as an actress but for her amazing and inspiring work as an AIDS activist. She was one of a kind."

Julie Andrews: "Liz was a dear friend. She was a great legendary lady of Hollywood and she will be mourned worldwide."

Shirley MacLaine: "I don't know what was more impressive – her magnitude as a star or her magnitude as a friend Her talent for friendship was unmatched. I will miss her for the rest of my life and beyond."

John Travolta: "Elizabeth was the definition of greatness on all fronts. I loved her. She will be incredibly missed."

Barry Manilow: "She was the last great movie star and one of my closest friends … What I'll always remember about Elizabeth was her laugh. She would walk in looking like a princess, and out of her mouth would come this cackling laugh that would crack all of us up."

Such lovely thoughts. We bet she felt the same of all of you, her caring , devoted friends.

Dear Maryland…THIS ROCKS!

Filed under: Gay Gay GayLegal MattersPolitikInspiration

Wonderful news!

In a vote of 12-10, Maryland's House Judiciary Committee voted in favor of the passage of the Senate Bill 116, that will sign into law legislation that would grant same-sex couples the right to legally marry, while also protecting the rights of religious institutions to handle the issue however they want!

Del. Kumar Barve, speaking on behalf of Equality Maryland, says:

"To me, this legislation is all about family, liberty and respect. I respect the civil liberties of same-sex couples who wish to solemnize their relations and families in the eyes of the law. I also respect the values of those in our society who are not comfortable with same-sex relationships. Surely there is enough space in America for all of us to build our lives and families as we choose and live next to each other."

Such true words! And exactly how it should be!

Congratulations for taking a stand, guys! Such a proud day for Maryland!

EQUAL RIGHTS FOR ALL!

Charlie Sheen Passes His Drug Tests

charlie-sheen-passes-drug-tests.jpg

This is a good start.

Charlie Sheen has passed two drug tests since he began his in-home rehab two weeks ago.

Sources say that he's working with several addiction specialists, including some who he's known for 20 years.

The negative drug tests are extremely important, especially for the staff of Two and a Half Men, as they will determine if and when they can go back into production.

Charlie reportedly "feels great" and is "itching to get back to work as soon as possible."

Let's just take things slow, Charlie, and make sure you're completely recovered before thinking about going back to work. The last thing anyone wants is for you to fall off the wagon.

"I was pretty shocked. I think it's such an inspirational show that people really get to see that dreams come true. I was really shocked. I thought it would have been great for kids to watch."

Would it have been so inspirational? Guess we'll never know!

Do U agree with Stephanie? Are U shocked that LC's reality show got aborted?
