Wowzers!

Carrie Bradshaw was known for frolicking around in Manolo Blahniks, Chanel, and Oscar de la Renta duds, but to our surprise, stylist Patricia Field revealed that the star's famous tutu was dug out of a bargain bin.

Say whaaat?!?

project-runway-10th-anniversary-in-times-square.jpg

Heidi Klum stunned in an emerald green Thomas Wylde dress and black sky-high Charlotte Olympia heels at the first Project Runway fashion show of Season 10.

The hostess was joined in Times Square by fellow judges Michael Kors, Dolce & Gabbana-clad Nina Garcia and special guest judges Sex and the City stylist Patricia Field and actress Lauren Graham.

Klum was ecstatic about the TV milestone and the brand new season, saying:

“'I can't believe that it is Project Runway's 10th anniversary already! What an amazing milestone. I'm incredibly proud of the show and everything we've accomplished.”

Project Runway debuted back in 2004, so to be able to celebrate 10 seasons and a network change is very impressive!

Congrats!

P.S. To see which of the 16 contestants got chopped on Friday night, tune into Lifetime on July 19th for the season premiere!

Geez. TIME's selection committee is strict!

So who were the lucky 100 that made the cut? See for yourself AFTER THE JUMP!

Nicki Minaj also graces the cover of Complex magazine's 10th anniversary issue, but unlike Justin Bieber's her face remained intact.

For the psychedelic spread shot by Christian Anwander stylist Rose Garcia dressed the Harajuku Barbie in striped and swirling creations from Ralph Lauren Purple Label, Obesity & Speed and Patricia Field.

After striking some fierce poses, Her Minajesty chat with Miss Info about her clothing line (it's happening!), her love/hate relationship with the camera and being a perfectionist.

Here's what Nicki had to say:

On her clothing line and fragrance:

"I’m working on my fragrance and my apparel line. They took stuff that I’ve worn, focused on what I like, and then they started doing sketches. They’re pretty amazing. I was like “Oh my God, the kids are going to love this.” It’s not gonna get done overnight, but I know that it’s something they’re going to love."

On cameras:

"I hate cameras. I hate cameras and I hate camera phones. The camera’s my worst enemy and my best friend. It’s the way I convey my emotions to the world without saying a word, so I use it. People always say, 'You come alive as soon as the camera’s on!'"

On here over the top facial expressions and body animations:

"I never rehearse what I’m gonna do in a video. It’s just that I have this love-hate relationship with the camera. I wanna please the camera so bad. The perfectionist in my brain is like, 'You have to be on.' I always want to feel like I gave everything my all and never, never, never exhibit laziness."

Check out the rest of Nicki's spread (below) and tell us whose cover shoot U like best: Bieber or Minaj???

Sarah Jessica Parker Is Not A Style Icon

sarah-jessica-parker-vogue-august-2011-cover__opt.jpg

Model Emily Sandberg can't stand Sarah Jessica Parker and to prove it, Emily dedicated an entire post on her blog to SJP and how she is not a style icon.

Here's the lengthy rant in its entirety:

How much money do you think the studios paid to put Sarah Jessica Parker on the cover of Vogue? I'll tell you why I ask, I'd like to know how little Vogue is willing to accept to give Sarah Jessica Parker the credit that Patricia Fields deserves.

Sarah Jessica Parker is not the fashion icon Anna Wintour and all the other fashion business heads want you to believe. See? This is back when she made her own fashion decisions.

Remember when she did the exclusive $38 million multi-season artistic director contract for Gap? Remember the financial disaster that ensued and how quickly Gap dropped her? Remember how Gap had to go back to using and paying supermodels 1/10th of their day rate to reshoot that season's White Jean campaign because Sarah had been given the majority of the advertising budget? The brand returned to it's good financial standing because of this move. Models bailing out celebrities again.

Isn't it time to start paying models and stop wasting money chasing after US Weekly dollars?

It's cheap. It's lame. It's obvious. And fashion isn't any of those things.

It's also a complete lie. The public already knows most celebrities don't dress themselves. Please stop calling them icons when the only thing they've done to deserve the title is fit into the sample size of a dress a stylist picked off a runway that the artistic director of say, Versace, decided to put on the runway in the first place. Not only is a celebrity last in a long chain of creative decisions; most of them don't even decide what goes on their bodies, Sarah Jessica Parker being one of them.

The artistic directors and stylists that make these decisions for brands should be given the praise. For instance, Patricia Fields, who created SJP's look and got the ball rolling on her.
Sarah, please, please go back to squeaking at lacy Louboutins and man-childs who don't treat you right. I refuse to buy any more magazines with you on the cover promoting films.

Is anyone else annoyed?

Oh, and let me quickly answer the question on the cover: How does she do it?

She employs a small army of people.

Geez.

Sounds to us like Emily's just a bitter out of work model that's in desperate need of attention.
