Twitter Reacts To Trump's Most Dictatorial Move Yet!

no title

In case you aren't paying attention, James Comey getting fired is a yuge deal.

While Donald Trump supporters are being willfully obtuse and calling us all hypocrites because we wanted Comey fired months ago for being terrible at his job — see Hillary Clinton email fiasco — we're looking into the face of tyranny.

Trump was being investigated; he fired the investigator — right in the middle of his ongoing testimony in front of Congress. Getting rid of your dissenters and consolidating power so that you can no longer be questioned is Dictator 101. Simple enough, Trump voters?

BTW, you may have noticed every news organization has had a political expert on since the news broke saying Trump has been trying to fire Comey for weeks and that he's going to replace him with a stooge who will shut down the investigation.

We'd like to counter with: "DUH" (We're so good at punditry!)

Instead of hearing from "experts" we wanted to put our fingers on the pulse, AKA Twitter!

See what celebs, politicians, and everyday citizens are saying about the unpresidented move (below):

'Many People Will Die' — See All The Strong Reactions To The GOP Finally Passing Their Devastating Obamacare Replacement Bill

no title

Republicans were finally able to pass their replacement for the Affordable Care Act — apparently without even reading it!

The GOP-run House held their vote after several amendments were added to it but before the bill could be read or its Congressional Budget Office score could be determined — though the latest CBO score showed 24 million fewer insured by 2026, and word is all the changes just made it worse.

And it's already basically just a huge tax cut for the wealthiest 2% of Americans.

Republicans reportedly celebrated finally getting rid of Obamacare with a keg party. Meanwhile Democrats weren't laughing. Representative Debbie Wasserman Schultz of Florida said:

"Make no mistake, many people will die as a result of this bill."

After the horrifying news, some are angry, many are despondent — others look to the fight ahead in the Senate (who reportedly WILL at least examine the GD bill)!

Former Congressman Joe Walsh Slammed After Insensitive Comments About Jimmy Kimmel's Son

Joe Walsh

Ugh.

As you know, everyone sent Jimmy Kimmel and his family an outpouring of love after he revealed on Monday night that his newborn son, Billy, underwent emergency open-heart surgery just a few days after birth.

During his monologue, the late night TV host made a plea for keeping health care available to people who can't afford it and those with pre-existing conditions:

"We were brought up to believe that we live in the greatest country in the world, but until a few years ago, millions and millions of us had no access to health insurance at all. Before 2014, if you were born with congenital heart disease, like my son was, there's a good chance you'd never be able to get health insurance because you had a pre-existing condition. You were born with a pre-existing condition and if your parents didn't have medical insurance you might not live long enough to even get denied because of a pre-existing condition. If your baby is going to die and it doesn't have to, it shouldn't matter how much money you make."

Seems logical to us.

However, not everyone was so empathetic as former congressman Joe Walsh took to Twitter with his insensitive opinion toward Jimmy's son's struggle — something Joe immediately faced heat for online.

The ABC star took a moment to point out how seeing this firsthand was a wakeup call about the healthcare debate in our country. He said simply at one point:

"If your baby is going to die, and it doesn't have to, it should not matter how much money you make."

So true.

And we weren't the only ones watching who thought so. President Barack Obama tweeted:

Alex Jones, Donald Trump's Biggest Conspiracy Source, Tells Court He's Just A 'Performance Artist' — And People Are PISSED!

If you're not familiar with Alex Jones, here's a quick primer on the radio show host.

His Internet news show, InfoWars, is largely responsible for propagating the conspiracy theories that the U.S. government was responsible for 9/11, that Hillary Clinton ran a child sex ring out of a pizzeria, and that the Sandy Hook shooting was a hoax in which Barack Obama hired child actors to pretend their schoolmates had been murdered.

Yeah. He's that guy.

Sadly, a few million people listen to his drivel, deciding that the mainstream media is lying, and this crazy-sounding reporting is the sole source of fact in a sea of "fake news." These listeners include — you guessed it — Donald Trump, who has even been a guest on Jones' radio show.

So when you wonder where the POTUS gets his ridiculous ideas about government, voter fraud, wire-tapping, etc, this is the face. Or should we say the mask?

See, Alex is currently in the middle of a bitter custody battle with

celebs react to syria airstrike

Celebrities are outraged by Donald Trump's military strike on Syria.

As you surely know, POTUS announced on Thursday that the U.S. had launched an airstrike, including 59 Tomahawk missiles, on Syria. While at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, the Commander-In-Chief told reporters he had approved a "targeted military strike" on an airfield in the Western Asian country.

This military move made by the U.S. comes only a handful of days after a chemical attack was launched on civilians from the same targeted airfield. On his controversial decision, the Trumpster defended:

"It is in this vital national security interest of the United States to prevent and deter the spread and use of deadly chemical weapons."

Obviously, upon learning about the attack, countless celebrities flocked to Twitter to express their thoughts on the situation. In fact, Kerry Washington, Lena Dunham, Rosie O'Donnell, and so many others made sure to voice their opinions (below).
