Although no official cause has been determined in his death , Slipknot bassist Paul Gray may have overdosed.

The hotel employee who found the musician noticed a bottle of pills and a hypodermic needle near the body.

A maintenance worker said that Paul had been there for "a while." Another employee remembered that his mother called the the hotel but could not get in touch with her son.

Sad.

On Monday,Slipknot star Paul Gray was found dead at a Iowa hotel, but this morning, police are still baffled as to what caused his death. An autopsy was performed on the body, yet there was no new information to obtain from it.

Now, police are waiting on the toxicology report, which takes about a month, to determine the cause of death.

Though the cause of death could not be determined, Police were able to rule out any foul play or trauma to Paul and determined that Gray had been dead for several hours when his body was finally discovered by a hotel staff member.

Sad.

Slipknot's bassist Paul Dedrick Gray was found dead in his hotel room Monday morning.

He was discovered at the TownePlace Suites in Urbandale, Iowa by an employee.

Authorities believe there is no evidence of foul play, but the investigation is ongoing.

Toxicology tests will be performed during Tuesday's autopsy.

He was 38-years-old.
