Hollywood heavyweight, Harvey Weinstein, says he talked to the California girl about playing the wife of Paul Potts, Britain's Got Talent star and focus of the film.

Looks like Simon's got ambitious plans for his return to BGT!

Last month, ITV president Adam Crozier confirmed that Simon Cowell would be returning to Britain's Got Talent as a judge, following The Hoff's firing!

Now, Simon has opened up about his return to the show, and he's aiming HIGH this season:

Simon Cowell had planned a biopic about Britain's Got Talent star Paul Potts, but the film has been axed after an actor wasn't found to take on the lead role.

Filmmaker Michael Vaughn explains:

"It should have gone ahead. Simon and I had a good vision for how the film should be, and it would have been brilliant. But the studios were umm-ing and ahh-ing and they missed the opportunity to do it.

"It's tragic, because the script was brilliant. Simon had done a great job. I was looking forward to working with him and it would have been a big hit."

Paul Potts won Britain's Got Talent back in 2007 — so maybe the studio just didn't care anymore?

To be honest, we kinda forgot about him, too!
