Even though she didn't win, Cher Lloyd beat out X Factor champion Matt Cardle for the title of the most talked about celebrity newcomer.
The list was based off Google searches, Facebook fans, followers on Twitter and views on YouTube in the UK.
Following Miz Lloyd was the boy band One Direction and Katie Waissel in third and fourth place respectively. In fifth place was Paul the Octopus, who gained attention at the 2010 World Cup after correctly predict the outcome of games.
David Wilding, head of planning at PHD, the media company that carried out the research, said:
"Nobody would have been able to predict this list this time last year except perhaps Paul the Octopus himself."
Ha. We knew Cher had it in her!
