What a sad day.
The world has lost one of its comedy legends as Joan Rivers has died at the age of 81.
The Fashion Police host passed away today, and the people over at E! are feeling the effect of her loss especially.
Here's a statement from E! and NBCUniversal on her untimely passing:
“E! and NBCUniversal send our deepest condolences to Melissa, Cooper and her entire extended family on this incredibly sad day. For decades Joan has made people laugh, shattered glass ceilings and revolutionized comedy. She was unapologetic and fiercely dedicated to entertaining all of us and has left an indelible mark on the people that worked with her and on her legions of fans. She’s been a much beloved member of the E! family for over 20 years and the world is less funny without her in it. Today our hearts are heavy knowing Joan will not be bounding through the doors.”
In addition to this statement, E! just put together a very fitting tribute to the late, great comedic force of nature that could always make us laugh, and it makes us miss her even more.
Ch-ch-check out the stirring commemoration (above)!!!

We bet Al Pacino recently released a big old "hooah!"
Al was in some serious Heat after the State of California dealt him a tax lien in May. The actor apparently owed $31,706.04 in back taxes for the years of 2009 and 2011.
However, Al made them an offer they couldn't refuse: a check that quickly lifted the lien! What a Stand Up Guy!
Al probably didn't have to suffer any Insomnia over his debts, because as of July 31, the lien was released!
He certainly knows that you have to keep your friends close, but the IRS closer, and that it's not personal. It's strictly business.
We certainly hope that just when Al thinks he's out, they don't pull him back in again!

The woman responsible for saving Lindsay Lohan from wearing prison stripes has finally received those dolla, dolla bills!
Linds, currently finishing up her 90-day stint at the Betty Ford Center, has reportedly paid her re-hired lawyer Shawn Holley the $150,000 owed in legal fees.
While LiLo had fired Shawn months ago, we’re not surprised she realized her former lawyer’s worth after dealing with the incompetence of Mark Heller. However, Shawn’s services came at a much higher price this time around — a payment plan setup for the actress to pay off her debt and set aside money to keep the lawyer on retainer.
We’re glad to hear this is all settled! Lindsay really seems to be getting her shizz together!
Let’s just hope she stays out of trouble, despite having stellar representation!

Victoria Principal fears offshore drilling oil spills just as much as most other people.
But she's really doing something about it.
She's apparently been making "extremely generous six-figure donations" to two organizations that lobby against offshore oil drilling.
