New details have emerged in the Etan Patz case. After Pedro Hernandez confessed to kidnapping and murdering the 6-year-old boy over 33 years ago, the suspect's sister has revealed that she told police her brother was guilty all the way back in the 1980's.
Apparently Mr. Hernandez confessed he killed a boy during a church prayer group meeting. Afterwards Norma Hernandez, the sister, told police in Camden, New Jersey about the confession her brother had made in the meeting. She says she never heard from the police ever again.
Here's what she had to say:
”When I found out the information, I gave it to the police [and I thought] I'm okay, my conscience is very clear.”
Meanwhile the media recently caught up with Etan Patz's mother, Julie Patz, who seems to be straining under the new media attention.
Here's what she said:
“I wish this could end. This is taking my freedom away. I just wish this could be over. No comment. It’s an ongoing investigation.”
We hope this case is wrapped up soon for the parents' sake.
