Yesterday, the MLB dropped an a-bomb on A-Rod and served up one of the biggest punishments in league history, banning the Bronx Bomber from baseball through the 2014 season!
Alex Rodriguez held a press conference to talk about his jumbo-sized suspension, and he says the past few months have not been easy on him!
"I just want to express to you guys and the fans of baseball that the last seven months has been a nightmare. Probably the worst time of my life, for sure. Obviously for the circumstances that are at hand, and also dealing with a very tough surgery, and a rehab program, and being 38."
The New York Yankee slugger was visibly upset throughout the conference, but it's hard to believe that he'll be getting any sympathy anytime soon!
Despite his punishment, A-Rod was actually allowed to play yesterday and hit the field for the first time since last October! He got the butterflies out of his stomach early a hit a single in his first at bat to the tune of thousand of booing fans, but he was silent for the rest of the night!
His suspension goes into effect starting Thursday, but he is expected to appeal the decision.
Ch-ch-check out the rest of his speech (above)!
