Long Work Hours May DOUBLE Chances Of Depression

Depression from work

Do you work to live or live to work?

A new study suggests that people working at least 11 hours a day, compared to those working just 7 or 8, are over TWICE as likely to develop depression!

After following 2,123 British civil servants for six years, researchers found people working long hours have 2.5 times the odds of getting depressed.

The odds only increased for overworked junior and mid-level employees, however. The execs and bosses didn't seem to mind working, mostly because they have more control over their workload, as one Penn State University chairman put it:

“We have more control over what we work on; we can choose the fun stuff. I do mostly what I want to do, and when I put in an extra hard week, it’s my choice.”

So basically, this study should just give you another reason to hate your boss.

And it's very clear that despite the sex scandal that rocked Penn State University last year, Joe Paterno will be remembered very fondly by those who knew him.

Since his death, shoppers have flocked to the stores on campus to purchase all the JoePa memorabilia they can get their hands on, while another 3,000 fans, alumni and students braved the cold for a candle-light vigil.

It's not just PSU that is mourning the loss of the most winningest coach in Division I college football history either — the entire country is!

Hundreds of figures in the sports world and beyond have made statements regarding the sudden death of a legend. It's pretty incredible how far this college football coach's reach was. Check out who said what below!

Joe Paterno memorial service

Legendary and, as of late, controversial college football coach Joe Paterno passed away on Sunday after complications from lung cancer.

His family will say goodbye one last time during a private funeral on Wednesday, then hold a public memorial service at the Bryce Jordan Center on Penn State University's campus the next day.

Details are still being worked out, but PSU is allowing two tickets per person for the memorial.

We're sure the building will be packed to the walls for the event because Paterno was truly loved by everyone in the Penn State community.

One group who won't be there, however, is the Survivors Network of those Abused by Priest, who issued a statement reading:

Jerry Sandusky's Lawyer Continues To Claim His Client's Innocence

Filed under: Icky Icky PooLegal MattersFootball

Despite TWO more victims coming forward with allegations of sexual abuse at the hands of Jerry Sandusky, his defense lawyer is still claiming his client's innocence after his most recent arrest.

Right.

He suggests that money is the key motivator for 8 9 10 11 (sorry, it's hard to keep count) people over the course of 15 years to claim they were molested by the former Penn State football defensive coordinator.

If Sandusky is as guilty as we the whole world thinks he is and the victims say he is, than those guys deserve every penny they get out of this!

Watch the video above to hear all of Joseph Amendola's excuse for the criminal charges filed against Jerry Sandusky.
