We were excited for Evangeline Lilly when she got cast in The Hobbit!

But now she's beginning to have second thoughts on her role and how it will play out with the heavy Lord of the Rings fan base.

Sounds like this show is def gonna be around for a while.

TNT has renewed their crime drama Southland for a 10-episode fourth season.

Not surprising, given that this season averaged 2.9 million viewers, which is a 6% increase from last year.

Guess we'll see if the show does EVEN better in its fourth season.

Also should be interesting to see how TNT's new crime drama Perception fares. It stars Will & Grace's Eric McCormack, who's been somewhat MIA for a while now.

It's always interesting to hear way after the fact what behind-the-scenes drama happened on movies like this!

Veteran publicist Reid Rosefelt recently revealed that when he was working on Desperately Seeking Susan, promotional shots taken by the late Herb Ritts of Madonna and Rosanna Arquette were almost nixed by the movie's ad campaign, because of concern that the public would think it was a movie about lesbians!

He recalls:

"Some people at Orion thought that the image would make people think it was a lesbian movie. Thankfully the film’s producers, Midge Sanford and Sarah Pillsbury, were able to make their case."

Wow! Absolutely ridiculous!

But then again, we imagine that issues like this STILL come up in the industry, which frankly, is a real shame!

Kudos to the producers for holding their ground, though! Those images have become pretty iconic as this point, and we couldn't have imagined what would have become of them if they had gone in another direction!

It's not a Will & Grace reunion, but we'll take it!

Eric McCormack has finally inked a deal and has signed on to star in the new TNT pilot, Perception.

His character, Dr. Geoffrey Pierce, is described as "an eccentric, frequently erratic and absolutely brilliant neuroscientist who helps the FBI solve complex cases."

We think he can handle that!

Congrats, Eric! Do us proud!

Even if this is true - which we doubt - are you really surprised, bb? People don't like it when you're a shameless homewrecker!

Tori Spelling is getting all kinds of press for herself lately while she conveniently promotes her new book, Uncharted TerriTORI, and took the publicity whoring to a new level when she announced on Ryan Seacrest's radio show that all of her former Beverly Hills, 90210 co-stars hate her!

She says:

"All my cast members hate me. People say, 'Do you mean during 90210?' I say, 'No, we were great friends during 90210. We were friends after 90210.' They all came to my first wedding. All of a sudden I marry Dean, and I don't know what happened. I lost all my cast members."

However, when Ryan alleged that despite Tori's claims, co-star Tiffani Amber Thiessan DID in fact like her, Tori got all flustered and tried to cover her ass!

She backtracks:

"It's my perception, and nonetheless, it's a fun story."

We think it's pretty safe to say that your perception may be further from reality and closer to 'what can I say to get the most press possible?'

Nice try, though, bb! Bwa ha ha!
