We're so glad to see that she was once again well-behaved enough to leave the state!

Lindsay Lohan, who is up to speed with the terms of her probation this month, was allowed to fly back to New York for the holiday season, and was spotted celebrating her younger brother, Michael Jr.'s 24th birthday at RDV in the Meatpacking District last night!

Ch-ch-check out a photo (above)!

Just a little structure, and she's a whole new woman!

Who'd of thought?

Keep it up, gurl!

Joan Jett Filing Lawsuit Over Unauthorized Runaways Tribute Album

joan jett and cherie currie filing lawsuit over tribute album

Kind of puts a damper on the whole "paying tribute" thing.

Joan Jett and bandmate Cherie Currie have filed a lawsuit against indie label Main Man Records, in an effort to stop them from releasing a Runaways tribute album without their permission.

According to Main Man Records' website, the album is a two-disc set, featuring covers of the band's songs by a variety of different artists.

The lawsuit says that Main Man used Joan and Cherie's names to promote the album without getting the proper permission first, and that an employee who used to work for Joan "used that connection to imply the project had her blessing."

Joan and Cherie are seeking "unspecified damages" in their lawsuit, but really they just don't want the album to be released.

Here's what their lawyer Oren J. Warshavsky had to say about it:

"This isn't about money. This is strictly about preserving reputation and quality that both Joan and Cherie are known for."

Guess we'll see how this plays out, but there's def something kind of gross about releasing a tribute album when the artists being honored are against the idea.

What do U think? Team Joan Jett or Team Main Man?

Legal Action Against Anna Nicole Opera

Anna Nicoles Mom Says Not Cool

So if you weren't aware, there is an opera going on right now in London based on Anna Nicole Smith's life!

Apparently, how she's being portrayed is not sitting well with the rest of Anna Nicole's estate, and they're taking legal action against the show.

How are they portraying her? With a very large woman with huge ta-tas who kinda looks like her!

The producers of it didn't even get permission from them to go ahead with it!

Sounds like the do have some grounds, but we haven't seen the show so we can't vouch personally for the portrayal and whether or not it's as offensive as they claim.

Has anyone seen it?

What do U think about this??

iTunes Holdouts!

kid-rock-acdc-and-garth-brooks-refuse-to-put-music-on-itunes

Now that The Beatles' music is now available to download on iTunes, there aren't too many acts left that haven't agreed to put their tunes out onto the digital marketplace!

But three have stood firm in their refusal, and apparently, here's why:

AC/DC

Frontman Brian Johnson explains:

"Maybe I’m just being old-fashioned, but this iTunes, God bless ‘em, it’s going to kill music if they’re not careful … It’s a…monster, this thing. It just worries me. And I’m sure they’re just doing it all in the interest of making as much…cash as possible. Let’s put it this way, it’s certainly not for the…love, let’s get that out of the way, right away."

Garth Brooks

He says:

"These [Apple] guys are sweet guys, but they’re businessmen, so they understand. … They truly think that they’re saving music. My hat’s off to them. I looked at them right across the table with all the love in the world and told them they were killing it. And until we get variable pricing, until we get album-only [downloads], then they are not a true retailer for my stuff, and you won’t see my stuff on there—with all the love in the world. That’s nothing that they haven’t heard, either."

Kid Rock

He says:

"I just don’t like being told what to do. I don’t have a beef with Apple, or iTunes, or any of them. I do have a beef with that it seems kind of socialist of them to charge the same price for every song. What if every car cost $4,000, you know what I mean? A song from my neighbor’s garage band is not the same value as Bruce Springsteen’s ‘Born to Run.’ I just want to decide how my product gets sold with the people who sell it."

Wow - we have to admit, although we don't agree, these guys make much better points than we expected them to!

Other artists currently unavailable for download include The Smiths, Tool, Def Leppard, Bob Seger, Black Sabbath, and Frank Zappa.

And it's their right as musicians to decide how their music is sold, so more power to them!

What do U think?? Do U agree with anything any of these guys have said??

Why LiLo Can Leave Rehab!

lindsay-lohan-allowed-to-leave-betty-ford-center-for-short-outings

Although Lindsay Lohan is legally confined to the Betty Ford Center until January, many may be wondering why the troubled star has been spotted out of the treatment center on now multiple occasions!

However, sources have revealed that gurlfriend is not getting any special treatment due to her celebrity status, and that small field trips off the grounds are permitted for patients showing signs of improvement!

The insider explains:

"Lindsay is being allowed to leave Betty Ford as part of their renowned behavior modification program. Once a patient has been at Betty Ford for 45 days and the person is progressing, their treatment team begins to explore letting the patient leave the facility for short outings. The behavior modification program entails that if a patient is actively participating in group therapy session - and in individual sessions - and is generally progressing, they are given passes to leave for a short time. Lindsay is doing extremely well at Betty Ford, and her treatment team has been giving her passes to leave, and she is in turn participating even more and working very well with other patients. Betty Ford empowers their patients with tools so that when they are discharged, the patient doesn't feel overwhelmed with anxiety about being out in the real world again. Lindsay's counselors give her passes and if she has any issues while she is out, she can talk about it with her treatment team. It's one of the elements that sets Betty Ford apart from other treatment centers. Lindsay is very motivated by being given the passes. At UCLA Medical Center she felt like she was being held hostage. That was one of the reasons that she relapsed so quickly. Now that she has been given these passes and experiencing a little taste of freedom, the odds of her relapsing are lower."

Makes sense to us!

And we're thrilled that the doctors can trust her to make the right decisions when she's out in the wild!

Hopefully this time around she really has found a method that works for her.

Who knows? Maybe 2011 really will be Lindsay's year! We have our fingers crossed for her.

Keep up the good work, bb!
