Folk singer Pete Seeger passed away at age 94 in New York.
For over 70 years, Seeger has been using his music to fight for social and political change including the labor movement of the 40s and 50s, the civil-rights campaigns and anti-Vietnam War protests of the 60s and environmental causes in the 70s and beyond.
From singing at rallies against the government to performing on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial at an inaugural concert for Barack Obama, Mr. Seeger has always stood up for what he believed in.
