This guy could NOT keep it together!
Not that we blame him! Winning the 2012 Tony Award for Best Play is a pretty MASSIVE accomplishment!
Jim Parsons was the lucky man to give that accolade to Clybourne Park and its author, Bruce Norris, who beat out Other Desert Cities, Peter and the Starcatcher, and Venus in Fur!
Such a heartfelt, touching acceptance speech!
Congratulations to everyone involved!
A well-deserved win!

We just have to say it is SO good to see Sheryl Crow looking so gorgeous and healthy!
But at the 2012 Tony Awards, the singer took a back seat as a presenter for the Best Original Score (Music And/Or Lyrics) Written For The Theatre, and it was Alan Menken and Jack Feldman who won for the music and lyrics of Newsies!
Definitely one of our faves, so we're delighted to see them be honored for their work on it!

Our marathon of theater-going began Friday night when we went to see Peter And The Starcatcher on Broadway.
We didn't know much about the show, other than friends strongly recommended we see it, and we're glad we did! We wanted to make sure we saw at least a few plays this trip and were pleasantly surprised with Starcatcher.
Without reading any press or anything about the play, we went in thinking we were going to see a drama. Instead, we were treated to a delightful funny comedy that was also moving. And it featured a stellar cast lead by Christian Borle, Celia Keenan-Bolger and the very dreamy Adam Chanler-Berat.
The show did toy with our emotions, though, when it had a couple of musical numbers. So it's like a play with music, featuring mainly actors that work in musical theater. We wanted more! The whole show would have been FABULOUS as a full-on musical!
Maybe in the future!
But if you're in the mood for something other than a musical and want to see a fun, funny, fast-paced show, then we highly recommend Peter And The Starcatcher!
