It's with great sadness that we must report that Mississippi Gov. Phil Bryant has decided to join Sen. Jenifer Branning on the wrong side of history on Tuesday and has passed yet another anti-gay bill.
The new "religious freedom" law will allow individuals, organizations, and private companies to legally discriminate against same-sex couples based on the argument that the 1st Amendment only applies to Christians, apparently.

Mississippi is just the latest state to try to limit LGBT rights — but don't worry, Phil is adamant that HB 1523 isn't hurting anyone, saying:

It all started when Mississippi governor Phil Bryant put the blame for below average reading abilities of American students on their working mothers. He said:
"I’m gonna get in trouble if I … you want me to tell the truth? I think parents became, both parents started working, and the mom is in the workplace. It’s not a bad thing. I’m gonna get in trouble, I can just see, I can just see the emails tomorrow. But now both parents are working, they’re pursuing their careers."
Sexist, gross, and RUDE!
But then it got worse!
In an effort to start a dialogue around the governor's comments, Fox Business News anchors Stuart Varney and Charles Payne invited Kelly Cutrone on their show.
Cutrone accepted the invitation, thinking
