A former sports handicapper recently plead guilty to operating an offshore gambling ring consisting of $2.75 million!
The only problem? That money reportedly belongs to professional golfer Phil Mickelson!
A little birdie tells us that 56-year-old Gregory Silveira could face up to 60 years in jail if he's convicted of running the gambling operation where he handled Phil's money.

Luckily for Phil, simply betting on a sporting event isn't illegal; the government only cracks down on whoever is actually offering the gambling service.
Hopefully Phil comes up with a fairway to smooth things out with the PGA before he faces any fines!

Despite the cheating scandal, Tiger Woods is still the highest-earning athlete in the world, according to Sports Illustrated's Fortunate 50 list!
Tiger has raked in $90 million this past year - $20 million in sports winnings for 2009 and $70 million in endorsement deals for 2010.
And he isn't even in his prime anymore! Tiger is making $22 million less in endorsement money than last year.
Woods is followed by Phil Mickelson with $62 million, Floyd Mayweather Jr. ($60 million), LeBron James ($46 million) and Alex Rodriguez with $37 million.
