Jessica Sanchez may have lost the American Idol crown to Phillip Phillips last season, but she won BIG at the Democratic National Convention on Wednesday night!

Her soulful cover of Marvin Gaye's You're All I Need to Get By (above) brought the entire audience to their feet as everyone grooved along with the young singer and the God's Appointed People Choir, all of whom did an amazing job backing Sanchez's incredible vocals up!

Isn't it crazy that voice is only 17 years old!? It's SO powerful and is DEFINITELY going places in the music industry!

Phillip Phillips has had to deal with extreme pain all through the American Idol competition.

He recently finally had surgery to help get rid of the giant kidney stones that have been plaguing him for so long.

Man, it's been forever! He must be so relieved.

American Idol winner Phillip Phillips has been suffering from HUGE kidney stones throughout pretty much all of the competition.

Now, after having all sorts of treatments to alleviate the stones, he's finally gotten the surgery he needed.
